Peace and coffee in the balmy 44 degree morning air.
I’m glad it’s Friday even though it’s my Thursday. Friday is payday and that always helps.

A good day to all.

My long day at work ahead. I have a small project to pass some time and a book to read. The movie IT two tonight with 14 year old Gson. I promised him and can’t break that date. It’s my movie and lots of coffee week.

A good Saturday wished for all.

Hi early risers.
Congrats Ringo!
IMvalentine, hope you have fun with Gson and the movie is good.
Really wanted to sleep in today..
Teaching this morning then the usual errands and chores.
Nice day yesterday but have been struggling with a bit of depression.
No cravings or substance temptations but at day 106 wondering if it’s just me adjusting to actual life without a hijacked brain.
Nothing bad happening just a lot of self reflection about past present and future.
Maybe those here with more sobriety time went through the same.
I know it takes time.
Have a great day all.

Up and rushing around, Mrs dragon is trying to get us out of the house in an hour to goto a book sale. Later I have Ukulele classes (yay).

I cycle thru ups and downs melski. Nothing severe, I think it just life. I went thru them as a drunk too, but just didn't know it as the pickled brain never clued in.

Melski, going through periods of self reflection is a normal part of the healing process. I still go through periods from time to time. I don't know if you are prone to depression, but I think it is also a common experience at your stage. Any pink cloud sensations you had are likely over at this point, and the enormity of living life without drinking after so many years is front and center in your mind. It can be daunting and scary. The highs in life are extra special not drinking, but the lows can be challenging without our alcohol crutch. You will develop the needed skills to cope, but I was often hit with pretty dramatic mood swings in early sobriety. Take a walk, listen to some music, do whatever you need to do to keep moving forward. The path ahead isn't always a straight line, but remember you are always moving forward.

5:25 AM ish

Outside waking up. The movie was okay. The first one was much better but I never cared for the ending as Stephen King would say. No more until Judy comes out with Renee Zellweger.
We all have highs and lows. I set myself up with unrealistic expectations. Reality bites hard when I’m in lala land. I’m also enforcing boundaries with people that are used to running amok over me. It’s a work in progress.

A safe sober Sunday to all.

A week of closing the store each night and going to bed at 1:30am. I prefer being an early riser instead of a late crasher.

Enjoy the day all!

Well I got up at 4:45, fed and walked the pup and went back to bed until 7!
So not typical for me.
Guess I need the rest.
No yoga this morning but will do a good walk at least.
Found this online exercise program in June called Classical Stretch/Essentrics and can highly recommend.
Have a great day all

I volunteer for a local community organisation and I offered to do the early morning slot today.
