Wow, it's almost 4:00 and I've been up for a while now. I may be sleepy at work today if it's too quiet. It's either coffee time or a quick nap.

I read that people in Aus were saying if it was really devastating, a whole ton of people were going to be taking the day off today to cry.

And awesome Chloe....I think my copy is arriving today.

From a department of 5 people down to 2 today due to 3 people taking vacation. At least a busy day will go by fast.

First day of a staycation. Lots to do around the house and yard. Just feel tired. It's my first week off since early July. Motivation will find me later.

So much for a quiet day. I got a phone call shortly after my lat post. Power had been out all evening and all systems were down. Had to rush into work and hop to! Got everything up in just over an hour after arriving and started dealing with the fall out when an e-mail comes in from a sister divison. "Next time this happens can you notify us?". Hello? No internet, no e-mail, no phones, but sure I'll drop everything and find a payphone just so you can tell me how urgently you need me to fix it . I was going to reply but decided to let it slide and let serenity take over. My co-worker could not let it go tho and got into a bit of an e-mail war.

It's a little after 04:00, and I've been having some coffee to try to make a mild headache go away. I was dreaming of living on a farm, and it was on fire, and the flames just kept coming back when we tried to douse them from building to building. So, I woke up a little distressed from those visions. But, I am feeling settled now.

And Guener.....oh love, I thought my dreams were bad, now that I read that I am letting go of my Wendys-based nightmares.... (my own fault, junk food last night).

Dragon, took five days off and sandwiched them between my normal Tuesday/Wednesday days off to have a blissful nine days. I just have to crank out one week's employee schedule from home, and that's my only work commitment. It helps that my boss will also be away, so contacts from work should be minimal.

Slept in until 7:00am today. Slowly letting vacation take hold. I went for a wonderful 11 mile bike ride on a gorgeous day here yesterday. I think I will stick with the stationary bike this morning!

Guener, I find the older I get, the more bad dreams linger in my mind upon wakening. I have no idea why.

Chloe, I am curious if your BF is an early riser also? I love the time when I have the house to myself when DW is still sleeping in the morning, though she tends to be an early riser also.

Dragon, what a ridiculous situation. When my store goes down, I text someone at another location, and let them email the proper chain of command and I become the contact point until power comes back on. Even a short outage leads to at least an hour for all the equipment to come back on line and ready to go.

My boyfriend is an early, early riser. He gets up around 3am and exercises for an hour. He leaves for work around 4:45am.
I am therefore up with all that activity and so are my cats!

05:30 -- What will the day bring? I have a strange sense of foreboding, but that is probably nothing. It's supposed to be nice out today, and the winds have stopped their blowing after three days of it, so it should be pleasant. I think I'm just too far removed from my routines these past couple of weeks, and that has me feeling a little lost from it all.

Wow....so, did you know this about him before you moved in together?
Being literal here....I would imagine you did. And I am guessing he is very fit. And a very strong person.....it takes a lot of commitment to do that every day, I think.

What time do you go to bed love? Curious if that's ok.... and how many hours do you have after dinner before you sleep? I need at least 3, or I do not sleep well.
