Early Risers Check-in Thread Pt 8

05:00 -- Sunday is not usually my favorite day of the week, I'm quite often rested up enough to be thinking about getting back to work. I would love it if I had a schedule where I could just take two days off in the week whenever to have a break as needed vs. when dictated. I should just be happy that I have the time off and make the best of it instead of whining, but just my $.02 on how things would be better for me, LOL.
So, a better idea is what to do today? There is some college basketball that interests me, I can visit my Mom, I can do a little more housework if I wanted to do that, I can take a walk. But for now, I'm going to have my coffee and think it over some more. I hope that you find something happy to occupy your time today!

I’ve been in a rough spell the past week. Hope to get over it. Sometimes life is just plain rough and adulting is hard. Going to take a lot of work and help from God.
It’s nice to be sitting outside and watching the critters.

03:30 -- Terrible dreams this evening, I'm glad that I am awake . But I opened a message from one of my student workers who worked on a design project for me, and she did a really nice job, so my spirits are lifted. It's great to see somebody do work that merits compliment.

Imvalentine, you're right, life is hard. But it's also so very rewarding. I count my blessings every day and even more so when I have gut trouble. I've had every test they can think of; found nothing. I just live with it. Learn to really appreciate life and give back when I feel good.

Was grateful to wake up sober.
My rough patch was due to alcohol use. There were a a lot of major turmoils last week and I chose to check out. I will be going to the meeting today and will not be chairing for at least 6 months. I ignored the signs, lived on self will and great expectations. I have to be accountable here also.
A safe sober Tuesday to all.

Oh Imvalentine, I'm so sorry to hear that but super glad you went to a meeting. It takes courage to start again. We both have today in which to live sober.
