Dare to dream

Do you ever do it? Do you ever dare to dream? I think those of us in recovery sometimes get so caught up in character defects and changing and healing...that we forget about our dreams, our hopes, our wishes. And we forget that the only way those things are going to happen is if we put some effort into them. So go on, in the middle of working your steps and doing the next right thing...take some time out and focus on your dreams. I dare ya.

I'll take that dare, Gabe. Sounds like a great dare to take. Focus on my dreams...we are thinking the same thing, right, the dreams that I'd like to make a reality, rather than "if only I could (your most outlandish dream or fanatsy here)" dreams. If is the first, that is a dare worth taking!

Growing up as a kid who loved Disney, I learned this..."A dream is a wish your heart makes, when it's fast asleep."
Doesn't matter what the wish is, or how outlandish it may seem.
It's transferring those wishes that our hearts make into our waking hours that brings the magic back into our lives.

I dream of the day I graduate from college. I'm so grateful that I have the opportunity to finish working on my dream.
