As, in recovery and 'returned to a society that once rejected me' see the AA literature, where I now find myself and following the precept of the Stoic philosophy of belonging to 'the community of mankind 'where, as Epictetus said,'We are all little souls dragging a corpse around.'
I find my soul being able to live in harmony with others in a manner which is better than anything I experienced in my drinking days, and you can't buy or fake that. Just as you can't buy or fake peace....no matter your race, class, gender, age or (dis)ability...
