That's a nice thing to hear Gilmer.

Been a few days since I've checked in here.
Grateful -- serenity level on this early morning 96%.
A nice sober day wished for all,

trying hard..
they will take my sister to a private nursing home today.. I do fear that they will have to sedate her to do this...
my Pops younger cousins or as you can say the generation before me is starting to fall to the family place for the rest of time.. sad.. when did we get old and now look like our Grands.. Dewyna will miss you .. know that Dar is lost so much.. 1966 to 2016 new years eve... you look so much like your Pop and GrandDad.. know my Pop is up there with a white towel to give you a proper shave and hair cut...
have the wedding show to help out at this weekend.. all the new kids and beans that will take that walk in the next 2 years.. cake goodies and sparkly things. and music..
I am a 80% pushing hard to get better to a 90% by lunch...

Phew. Woke up 90% and seeing that I had an email from the electricity provider saying my standing order needs adjusting I experienced my old kind of anaphylaxic style fear. Broke into a sweat. Palpitations. Tempted to delete email without reading, etc. Crazy huh! Serenity at 0%!!!

I've had trouble with the electricity provider in the past - I think when I moved in I didn't have the water and hearing system set up properly and it was costing a fortune, but I didn't realise this for a year of living here, then they suddenly reviewed our use compared with what they charged us (based on estimated / predicted use for the property ) and found we owed loads of money that I just couldn't pay at that time.

Anyway... after I'd spent a little time breathing deeply and praying I looked at the email (sounds like a little thing, but this is the woman who had 8 years of bills all unopened stored in a big box hidden from my partner when I was active in my alcoholism ). Reduced payment (a third less than I've been paying for the last year) plus a refund. PHEW!!!

So, still not 100%. My old fear flaring so wildly kinda worries me, but I suppose it's what we do with it that is the point rather than expecting to become fearless.
Probably at about 75% now.

I'm glad it wasn't bad news.

Found out inadvertently yesterday that my tenants think I'm weird (and not in a cute and quirky way).

I feel misunderstood: my mind is licking its wounds and telling me that they're derivative and shallow.

I know we can't all be loved by everyone all the time, but it still hurts.

85%.

Only 80 % today as it's too cold to walk the dogs.

What goes up must come down -- I guess?

Been a rough few last days here.
Two days ago serenity level hit a real low of 20%.
Yesterday overall I would give it a 35%.
Todays looking to possibly hit a high of 55% ?
Been dealing with some dental issues.

Sorry to hear that Bob. Dental issues are very depressing. Praying for you here on the misty little Isle of the Eels.

Thank you. Just knowing that this situation would be worse if I was drinking actually raises my serenity level a little. Never forgetting what sobriety have given me.
Serenity level -- 70%.
Again, I thank you Berrybean.

It's beautiful out there.
And exercise makes me feel good.

I usually drink too much coffee and it affects my serenity level.
Doing decaf today.
Running at around a 85% serenity level on this early Saturday morning.

This is a great thread.
I'm probably at 10% right now.
Haven't had a drink in 16 days or a toke in 2 days. Drank 6 large coffees loaded with sugar, along with about 10-12 ginger ales today...I think I'm just crashing. Need some sleep I figure.
Hope all is well with you guys out there,
K
