Balance -- Serenity verses Troubles Of The World
Balance -- Serenity verses Troubles Of The World
What is Recovery ?
Well, after a several years of Keeping The Plug In The Jug as #1
many more things come into play.
Daily what seems to be very important not only in regards to our sobriety but, also for our good health of body, mind and soul, is the keeping a balance between our Serenity and the Troubles Of The World that seems to be a most worthy task. I use the word task because, at times it seems to be a battle down here. A sober battle well worth the good fight.
To understand the battle, we need to begin with acknowledging that we are in a war. Battles make up smaller components of the bigger picture. By definition, battles involve combat between two persons, between factions, between armies and they consist of any type of "extended contest, struggle, or controversy" (Webster-Merriam). We are in a spiritual battle of some sort on a daily basis. In warfare, battles are fought on different fronts, for different reasons, and with varying degrees of intensity. The same is true in spiritual warfare. Our spiritual battles and warfare are real, even though we cannot physically see the attacker. But, we can educate ourselves on how the battles are fought and how they impact our lives on a daily basis.

Been spending some time away in the desert.
Always takes a little time to wind down when coming out here on vacation.
Leaving the City behind is good for the mind
body and soul.
A nice sober day wished for all.
