A lesson in self respect ...
A lesson in self respect ...
I've always liked the idea that you owe it to your self respect that you should feel free to walk away from anything that no longer serves you, grows you or makes you happy.
Alcohol, no longer did that for me...
Equally so I've always liked the suggestion in the book 'Alcoholics Anonymous' of belief in the God of your understanding.
Belief in the God of my understanding, which you may feel free to call Divine Providence or the Spirit of the Universe. Someone, whether a He, She or It but who is personal to me.
Did that for me ...
You can't buy or fake that, just as you can't buy or fake self respect.
