nights to never forget

in the past times in which I was sober
after some time went by
I would forget about how rough it was out there
when I was drinking and using
yes
so easy for a man (or woman) to deceive himself or herself
as I would tell myself
I could handle a little now
only to slip back into darkness once again

it's around 4:30 AM here and I was just outside in the Jacuzzi
a place I go often so as to relax, think and pray
a while ago some memories from insane nights long ago came to mind
I thanked God that I have not forgotten how hard life was back then
hard to believe some of the things I did
but it's true
I was running hard with the devil

I don't ever wish to forget that

I have been pulled from the pits of hell

if I or we don't guard our thoughts daily
we could return there in a short time

So true. Using our memories as motivation is a blessing.

It takes a little while to realize that drinking wasn't fun, it was just drinking. We called it fun because it gave us an excuse to do it.

I had to make that my new signature line.

3:33 PM Sunday afternoon

Sunday this afternoon -- very peaceful, enjoying being lazy.

Sunday back in my drinking and using days.
Getting my full fill about now.
Let's carry this crazy feeling right on into the deep of the night.
I had better get to work on time tomorrow.
Dang, tomorrow is going to be a very long hard day.

drinking and drinking. No need to drink more,
But the bottle still has some left, why would i leave it half full,
drinking to just finish the bottle,
hurt the next day until around 4pm,
press repeat.
