Recovery in a nutshell?

I came across this quote a couple of years ago, it wraps up what 90% of the challenge of recovery is for me...

"We learn the difference between self care and self indulgence"

when I am about to act, I can stop, take a breath and ask myself which category this action falls into, then decide if it's where I want to go.

Recovery is the rediscovery of our true nature. That can probably be found quite easily again and again by taking a breath.
