Any kiwis?

Hi all - sorry if this has already been done but I just wanted to know if there are people here from New Zealand, as I'd love to get tips around our silly drinking culture.
Not that I don't live advice full-stop, but someone from here might understand a bit better
Thanks!!

I'm nearly a kiwi - geographically, LOL.

but I know there's other kiwis and Aussies here, and the culture is pretty similar, I think?

Well I'm actually Australian haha and yeah they are relatively similar although its a bit more engrained in kiwi culture I think (although I could just be in the wrong area haha).
They're both booze loving nations though that are bloody hard to be sober in!

Me !!! Hi ! I've been looking for a kiwi too. Crafty buggers only come out at night 😜bit like us. Everything we do seems to revolve around drinking. Never really noticed till I stopped. Glad you said hi.

I've only recently come back to SR after a long trip away but still in Aoteroa.
Yes, the culture can be crazy and a challenge - the sports and booze mix and I find a high tolerance of drunkiness.(I told a guy I didn't drink the other day and he looked at me like I just told him I came from an alien planet!!)

But on the other hand - we have the great outdoors, and the culture that goes with that, that you can get into.

Gidday gidday!
Another kiwi here. I can't give you any tips around the drinking culture, except that it seems extremely expensive these days! When I was drinking you could get well written off for $5.00.
But I don't see much of that culture in the general population. At one time I thought everyone drank like I did, and if they didn't there must be something wrong with them. But actually the opposite was nearer the truth. There is a wonderful world out there, full of good people.
Nice to meet you!

Woohoo! Glad to meet some kiwis

Yeah telling people you don't drink seems like you're talking to Martians some days, but since I quit I have realised a fair whack of people don't actually get as trolleyed as I thought
