5th step and 4th step 'reflection' song
So thankful I searched for recovery songs I've got nearly 1000 but the one that has gotten me through a lot and is almost like a 5th step in musical perfection honestly is Mirror by Lil Wayne and Bruno Mars
Even if you dont like rap trust me take a listen !
If this doesn't make you feel better about inventory and doing your 5th step Pray about it. Lol

Looking through my tunes library a few more
John butler trio - used to get high
Breaking Benjamin - better days
Days of the new - drown
311- honest to god every person I've told about this CD says its written for recovery or they feel like they couldn't write the entire album better themselves check out universal pulse album by 311 best tracks (for me) ***trouble*** wild nights and weightless
Thus far I'll type of a draft post when I'm done compiling all the current songs posted and the ones in my own recovery library great topic

This is a song that's at least partially about being an alcoholic or drug addict, but not about recovery:
8. Gagging Order - YouTube
The lines are:
A couple more for breakfast
A little more for tea
just to take the edge off
just to take the edge off
move along
there's nothing here to see
just a body
pouring down the street
It's probably my favorite song ever. I was afraid to listen to it after I quit cause I thought it would make me wanna go back to being a drunk. I just listened to it for the first since I quit, and I still love the song, but if anything it makes me glad I quit.
