Today I took 2 calls from friends who were enjoying their "Sunday Funday" instead of ignoring them like I normally do. Just a pleasant reminder you sound like a complete mornon when you're trashed at 2pm on a Sunday afternoon while drunk dialing people you think actually care to hear about it.

Sober is good.

Today I...

-Ate breakfast and lunch
-Helped my ex-wife with a few things
-Thought about drinking and promptly played it through to the end (disaster)
-Went grocery shopping and bought a few healthy treats, expensive but I deserve it!
-Prepared for a meeting tomorrow
-Took my meds
-Forgave my mother's cat for biting me
-Enjoyed the feeling of inner calm
-Thought of some more projects to keep me busy (puttering)

1. Cooked myself and my boyfriend a huge brunch only to remind myself that he wont wake up until after lunch.. So I ate it all by myself and it felt goooood!

2. Going to the gym in about half an hour or so (it's still morning here)

3. Make myself an awesome lunch and eat it while I play some Xbox.

4. Call my mom and tell her I'm serious about quitting!

5. Eat a portion of my garlicsoup

6. And some bananasmoothie

7. Then it will almost be time for dinner. Gonna make some spicy curry with chicken and rice.

Damn I love food..

Fatale - your plan sounds like mine!

1) Stocked the fridge with fresh fruit and veggies.

2) Bought ingredients for chicken korma and rice to cook tonight.

3) Purchased a few bottles of low-cal Vitamin Water (it's HOT here, so those are becoming my go-to drink of choice when I start to think "beer would be nice..." Ha! No beer allowed!).

4) Packed my gym bag and took it with me to the office so I can go there straight after work.

5) Am using "need to lose weight and get more fit" as motivation (if you hadn't already guessed!) given that I had to do a little wiggle to get into a skirt from the label Bumble's Fat Clothes Collection....I guess all those booze calories had to go somewher!

Lots of good ideas here - keep it up, everyone!

* After work I have my 5 year old and 13 year old swim meet where I have to be a timer.
* Go out to eat with my kids

Read on posted on this forum.
Allowed the troubling feelings that lead me to drink come up and accepted them with my whole heart.
Drank more tea than should be humanly possible.
Did crafts
Listened to music and cried at how incredible living and experiencing life is.
Forgave myself repeatedly.
Observed my thoughts from the perspective of an outsider and let them come and go as best I could.
Remained present. I find it's the re-telling of our life story in our heads that causes so much anxiety and stress in our lives. When there is no story, there is no suffering.
Prayed to a higher power for strength and guidance.
Also made a kale, banana, mango, flax seed smoothie. Focusing on health helps.
