Be proud of yourself
Be proud of yourself
Did you make it through this Thanksgiving day without drinking or drugging? I did. If you did too, try to be proud of yourself for it, regardless of what else we went thru, we stayed on course, and that's what matters most.
The Holidays are hard on alot of us for different reasons. For me, it was never about the joy of partying on the holidays, rather, it's been many, many years since any of my holidays were anything like happy times, and for many reasons, including my drug use.
For some of us, a holiday day is harder than a usual day, and if you stayed clean and/or sober today, be proud of yourself. You did the best, right thing today, whether or not you realize it. And that's what recovery is.
Happy Thanksgiving. I stayed clean, and I'm relieved it's over.

""I would rather ride my motorcycle and think about God, than sit in a church and think about riding."
I've got to remember that, its a good un.
God probably prefers spiritual fruits,
not religious nuts.
