A thought on life's difficulties and struggles
A different perspective on life's struggles.
A wise man once said,
"Whatever came to me, I looked on as God's gift for some special purpose.
If it was a difficulty,
I knew He gave it to me to struggle with, to strengthen my mind and faith."
That idea has sweetened and helped me all of my life.

My life difficulties and struggles
When I was young, had been married three years, and my husband had his leg amputated due to a logging accident...I dealt with the many issues and made it through it. My Mother-In-Law did tell me that God didn't give us more than he thought we could handle.
When the next catastrophic event happened, I quit believing in God because he just couldn't let this happen after all we had been through already.
When I finally sobered up in 1988 I found a God of My Understanding and I found my Spiritality on a dark day during a thunderstorm. I was watching the rain and wind out my window and it seemed a bright light came through the clouds right into my heart and I felt so good and peaceful. I decided my God was in my heart and he heard every prayer I said.
One of the most helpful things I do is meditate and use the Serenity Prayer as I feel I need it to understand what I can do or can't do about a situation.
