checking in
Just checking in.....Well its been since July 24th; no booze..no nothing but supplements and meetings and work......I go to meetings 4 nights a week..the danger nights Friday and Saturday, Tuesdays and Thursdays.......I have found a good homegroup....solid members with significant sobriety plus the folks like me..who are starting out or in between....so far so good...
I have to say I am beginning to look forward to the meetings...a place for me to go, to listen and keep myself on track.....still looking for a sponsor....that will come....I am patient and making it...had a one on one with my manager Monday...he pretty much understood why I missed work and why I had to come clean etc....I told him I could make a thousand promises ..but what’s best it to watch what I do not so much what I say..he seemed to respond very well to that....now it’s just one foot in front of another...crap will still happen in life, but I won’t be drinking to cope or escape....HP willing...

Thanks for checking in, carl. Glad you're still here with us.
Your words are pure music to my ears, reassurance that the program of AA does work. Trust me, if it didn't, I wouldn't have stuck around this long. Life is so good in sobriety that I just can't see any other way of living.
