The Value In It All There are many situations in life in which your best choice is to respond with immediate, effective action. Yet in other situations, the best response is just to simply and completely let it go. When there's something you can do that will make a positive contribution, then by all means do it. When your actions will do nothing other than prolong an unfortunate impasse, learn to let it go and let it be. There are things you can change. And there are things you cannot change. Embrace what you can change with positive, persistent effort. Embrace what you cannot change with peaceful, enlightened acceptance. Put your energy into pursuits that will bring value. Choose not to waste that energy fighting destructive battles that do nothing more than satisfy your ego. There is profound beauty both in what you can do and in what you cannot do. Learn to see the value in it all. -- Ralph Marston Copyright ©2007 Ralph S. Marston, Jr. |
This is one of those mornings where the readings I post are speaking to me. The common thread of wisdom that runs through them all is the message "Let it be". Sometimes that is all that is required. Hugs |
Letting go and let it be Yes, what a wonderful lesson in life, once it's learned, to know when to react or act and when not to. Making the decision is the hardest part. |
Decision decisons decisons, OH MY! Most of mine lately are suiting up and showing up for what is laid out for me. Now...why is that so darn hard? More will be revealed. Love, :Flower111: Sherry |
