Being an ex psychedelic user made me able to imagine how truly terrifying it would be. Watch it if you dare....... muah hahahahah!
To this day there are movies I can't watch because I saw them while tripping, the power of images.

I think there is still a lot of great horror out there. Its not hard to find if you look for it. You have to get past many of the big releases. There are so many indie films out there that aren't hard to find. Many great foreign films too, like I Saw the Devil which was an instant classic. Check out The Loved Ones. The original Let the Right One In.
This is pretty much a great best of list. I'd add Hellraisers to it. I'm also an Evil Dead and Army of Darkness fan which leads into the realm of campy horror which I adore as well.

Hi Guy's ,

I'm BAAAAAACK!!!!! I have been away from SR for a while---who knows where the time goes. All things are good on this end though. Hope the same can be said for all of you.

Anyway---SINISTER!!! WHOA!!!! I would really be interested to know if anyone found this movie to be one of the most disturbing films they have seen. I see some of you mentioned" Insidious"---I will say that one was a creep fest , but for me Sinister still haunts me. Actually the music alone could have been a horror movie. If you have not seen this movie would love for you to check it out....and for those that have seen it ..Talk to me---what did you think of it.

I still continue to watch my favorite movies over and over---but this is one I will leave on the shelf. That is how disturbing it was for me---am I a wimp or what?

Seems I have been seeing more horror movies than good Sci-fi. Saw Elysium and could not for the life of me make out what it was all about.
OH!!!!!! Did see CABIN IN THE WOODS--Thought it was one of the best movies--very quirky but smart--loved the whole premise. I have now watched it 4 times, and it will go into ""Movies to watch when nothing else good is on"

......and where is doggonecarl????

Happy to see familiar names and peeps still interested in "the Weird"

OK, it's not horror, and some of you might think it's pretty cheesy Sci-fi, but I am SO excited...it's been a long wait: the X-Files' Miniseries is finally here.

Is anybody else a fan of the show?

I am such a fan of the xfiles...I watched the new mini series of course. Gave my child's middle name "Fox"

Sometimes I'll put the old episodes on. It's like comfort food.

Off the top of my head....
Scariest: exorcist, shining, the ring, 28 days later (anything zombie gives me cool dreams) Donnie darko, the road (must see, just prepare yourself with some comedy after) oculus, silent hill, the hills have eyes
Pet cemetery, it, the cell, awakening, devil, the 1st final destination.

Scifi: pandorum, pitch black, jurassic park, eternal sunshine otsm, metropolis, galaxy quest, serenity, shows xfiles, supernatural, mind went blank.

And then there are the psychological thrillers which deserve their own category. I won't go there though.

Cool thread. I'm gonna look back and find a good movie suggestion I've never seen before.
