Recovering Buddhas and Friends Hi everybody, :Meditate: I was poking around last night and I found this group, Recovering Buddhas and Friends. It was created by vashti45 some time ago. As I travel along on this journey I find more and more that I am at heart a Buddhist. There hasn't been any activity there for a while, and I thought that if I mentioned it here, those who are interested could go and join the group or could come here for fellowship or just to stretch their minds a bit. I Just read "Why Lazarus Laughed" by Wei Wu Wei. Amazing book, just amazing, I might even say enlightening. I have read many, many books on Buddhism and Zen and Tao and find the subject fascinating. Thanks for reading this, and why not jump right in, the Void's just fine. Ted :Meditate: OOOOooommmmmmmm.... |
“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don't resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.” ― Lao Tzu |
I've been studying/practicing Buddhism for about 40 years now. Sometime's it's difficult to follow the path in today's world. |
Interested Hi, I have not studied Buddhism but I am so over being told my sobriety choices are AA or die. I want to know what resources you can suggest. Are there any books or websites? Thanks! |
Randy this group was started in 2009. Doesn't seem like the original participants have posted in quite a while. Hopefully, others with a similar interest will chime in. :) |
