phoenix - my brother and sister-in-law had to step in and take a dog from their neighbor once - that dog was a joy for them - they continued to live beside that neighbor for several years - of course, they weren't friends with this neighbor (who would want a friend who would treat a dog badly?) my thoughts would be - do what is right for the dog because he has no voice but yours

In this cold nasty weather I am so grateful that my doggies are spoiled-rotten-inside dogs. They bring me such joy and love.

I was at the dog park yesterday and there was a malamute there. The owner was telling me the dog slept outside the others night because it didn't want to come in...that was the night it snowed...lol.

But yeah, I don't get people who keep their dogs outside.

Reuben will try to do the same thing. He will go outside and lay down in the snow and just hang out lookin' pretty for a few hours, if I let him. I make him sleep inside, though.

my five are all sleeping - scattered around the room like a bunch of stuffed animals - two on the couch, one in my lap on the loveseat and another sleeping beside me and the last on the big pillow on the floor - i'm up to my eyeballs in puppylove!
(i tried again to post pictures - no luck - can someone help me?)

Litehorse...there is probably a Ricky somewhere but the way I posted photos was 1. Save photo to a site like photobucket.com 2. Copy [IMG] URL 3. Open a new post on SR 4. Click on the icon that lets you post photos 5. Paste [IMG] URL and 6. Post.

Hope that makes sense!

Reuben had his fourth birthday yesterday!

this is him the day I got him:

A few months old here:

More current:

The funny thing is, the bed you see behind his head in the third picture is not the same bed you see him laying on in the second pic. The bed in the third pic is 3 times as big as the one in the second pic!! And he still jsut barely fits on it.

Wow! I thought my dogs were big. I'm going to have to refine my use of the term "big dog" now that I've seen Reuben.

Sandy Girl...

I keep Sandy's hair trimmed pretty short in the summer. But I think she looks so much more adorable in the winter when it long.

I do have to get into the bed before they do so I can arrange my own space, then they squeeze in around me.

Happy holidays to all and to your doggies also.
