This is happening again for me

Hi honey....what browser do you use if you don't mind me asking?

I have noticed that SR seems to work the absolute best in Firefox, and currently Chrome is good for me as well.

It's happening to me, too, in Chrome and Safari.

It's ok for me too. I'm on a PC with Firefox.

This was a desktop only issue. This was not related to mobile devices.

If you are referring to seeing the desktop version of the forums on your iPhone, please scroll all the way to the bottom and tap on VIEW MOBILE VERSION.

Thanks.

We might be at different purposes? I was directed to this thread by a member who was addressing the point that many of us that access the site via our smart devices prefer the desktop version and have always posted on said smart devices using that desktop format.

Today the automatic (default) view is the mobile version that some of us do not like. When you try and switch the view back to desktop format it goes back to the 'facing forum page' in desktop format (so far so good). But as soon as you try and click on a section of the forum or on a thread it automatically goes back to the mobile view.

This seemed to start about 5 or 6 hours ago.

I'm sorry to be a pain but the issue I mentioned above still persists.

It is quite important (to me) as I use SR all day on my iPhone to read posts, like responses, and reply with ease (all of which are either impossible or very difficult on the mobile version).

Your continued efforts to solve the issue would be appreciated.

Many Thanks,

JT

JustTony.....hi.....I am Android but quite a few of my friends here use iPhones and they seem to have a work around for the moment....I have no idea if this will help you....

"I have an iphone and I have to hold down the refresh icon at the very top right corner of my browser which appears when I scroll to the very top of my page, then a thing pops up at the bottom saying request desktop version and I press that. But I have to do it every single time I move between pages, whereas before it just stayed on the desktop version."

This is not from arochalB, just an idea to help you today while this is happening.
