3 hours away from day 3 opiate withdrawal

last night right around the 36 hours mark was not as tough as i thought it would be compared to day 1..... i got broken sleep still was restless but i was able to lay down for long periods of time at on point.... cant wait to start day 3 i almost gave my these hard worked hours away yesterday and im so grateful i talked to my girlfriend and she talked me out of it.... im feeling exhausted sneezing dilated pupils not really restless. soo i think from 12-36 hours i peaked hoping for it to be a downhill from right now going forward.

two hours away from the 60 hour mark overall feeling really well drank tons of water went to the mall had food for the first time in 60 hours there is absolutely no symptoms other than sneezing and dilated pupils so we shall c what tonight brings.... but whatever it choses to bring it isnt taking away my hard earned soon to be 60 hours

Glad you made it through the worst of the physical junk. I know how much the fear of withdrawal can keep you drawn into the vicious cycle of use.

Me, I put down heroin & the needle 7.5 yrs ago. Had like 20 months totally sober after that. In the last 5 or so years I thought I could substitute my DOC (heroin, meth, coke - or any pill I could put in a needle) with alcohol and pot. I have come to learn more recently that substitution is not a viable option for someone like me. I'm an addict, and the only safe and sane alternative to my DOC is sobriety and working a program.

Best of luck and hope you are well today.

hey chance
this isnt my first rodeo either..... i always get some time under my belt and turn to alternatives and it takes me right back to heroin.... so im so glad u reminded me that they only way to do this is by doing it with total abstinence from any mind altering substances.....im at 88 hours with no sleep other than feeling really well just patiently waiting for sleep to come

Glad fishing went well! Hope your upcoming work shift goes well too...stick with it. I know what it's like to go to work when I don't feel I got enough sleep. I sort of sucks...but what helped me is to stay busy and tell myself to "push through"....then the discomfort isn't so bad....you can do this, gd. But, I know lack of sleep really really sucks!! Yuck.....
