Constant Brain Fog and Fatigue After Binge Drinking
Welcome Adam
I'm sorry the effects are so long lasting from such a brief experience.
I had brain fog for several months. I'd drunk for years tho.
It got better with time

Substance Abuse forum doesn't get that many drinkers.

Hi, I have been going through the same thing. It happened after one or two nights of binge drinking. I never really drank to that extent until that one weekend where I woke up with brain fog and it never went away. I am 18 and have had it for almost 3 months now with no signs of it getting better.

I feel like all of us are on the same boat. For me I feel partially recovered and it's been 2 years and 4 months for me. I have recovered slowly but I'm feeling a plateau right now. I literally got permanent brain fog from a binge drinking episode after partying. Felt horrible, a pressure in my skull from an inability to think, not being able to function essentially and living life on the fly cuz i had no short term or long term memory. I use to be 1/10 essentially a walking vegetable with a slight ability to think, had trouble visually processing things that I am reading, would forget what I'm talking about in middle of conversation, not being able to retain anything for long term and short term was really bad. Now I am able to have conversations without forgetting, being able to visually process what I'm reading at a reasonable speed, and have half the ability i use to have for short term and long term memory. I am hoping I'll fully recover because I miss my old life with a sharp memory, fast thinking, and quick reflexes. I also had really slow reflexes after my binge drinking episode. I felt emotionally numb from not being able to process the events that were going on in front of me quick enough. My reflexes improved, and feel more emotionally aware and alive so to speak. If anyone has fully recovered, it would be a blessing to hear because It's such a scary feeling that I will be permanently cognitively impaired for rest of my life.
