Clonidine worsening depression?
 

I've been taking clonidine for my anxiety for the past two weeks. I usually is klonopin (my vice is pain meds and I've thankfully been able to take these responsibly) but because my anxiety was worse with coming off of short term kratom use I got an rx for clonidine to prevent any type of dependence on the klonopin. I have noticed that I'm super depressed and just want to cry all the time. Lots of dread like feelings. I felt so much better and then just dropped over the past few days and am wondering if anyone has had this side effect with clonidine? I'm thinking I'll try and tough out the anxiety and see if it's partially causing or worsening the anxiety and depression.

I'm not a Dr but it could just as well be Kratom withdrawal couldn't it?

I wouldn't stop taking meds or changing doses without seeing your Dr.

It definitely could be. It's been 3 weeks though and I was only on it for 5-6 weeks. I started feeling better about a week ago and then just got slammed again. Could be paws I'm not sure. :) I saw that it was a side effect of the clonidine and thought I'd see if anyone else had a similar side effect.
