Have you looked at this thread Cista?

I know it's written largely from an alcoholic perspective but it fits a wide variety of addiction IMO.

Some good ideas here:

Have you eaten? I felt horrible earlier. Then..I ate good healthy food..and drank as much water as I could.

Don't forget to get some sunlight if you can.

Stay positive. You will overcome this.

Thanks Dee74 for the link I read a few times. Thank you also Jimmy9212 early recovery is tough. Days 10 - 14 have been my previous relapses. I usually work but am on leave atm which I first thought was a blessing but it seems to be a trigger. I am determined to keep going and hanging in SR for support.

Hang in there.

FWIW, I was extremely reluctant to go to NA. Turns out it was the best thing I ever did. I found some people there who had been where I was and who had found a way out. The therapeutic value of one addict helping another truly is without parallel. I just had to show up for it.

Time and time again these people looked me in the eye and assured them that the cravings and the mood swings and feeling like I was going to jump out of my skin wouldn't last forever. They told me it was normal to feel the way I did considering how much time I had clean. They didn't lie.

This too shall pass. You only have to do this one day at a time. Don't try to do it alone.

Thanks IvanMike it is one day at a time or as a friend said one minute at a time if needed.

Cravings are hard to resist. I have failed and relapsed many times so I hope you can hang in there.
