Hello everyone!

Jethro got a call a couple of days ago from the VAH nurse. She told him his surgery is scheduled for 28 February! Ugh! I said to him: "Happy birthday to ME!" I'll be spending my birthday in the hospital while he's in surgery. She also told him if there's a cancellation she'll slip him into the appointment. So we wait and see as of now.

He's SOOOO ready to get this done and get rid of this pain the torn meniscus is causing him. I'm SOOOOO ready for it to ALL be done and over with too! Sigh!

I sent a text to my nephew telling him the surgery date. He said he's still onboard with helping me while Jethro's down! Love this boy! Ummm huge 21 yro man! I'm not a tiny person and he towers over me! I disappear in his large bear hugs too! LOL I'm going to have a steep grocery bill while he's here. He can never seem to get full! Ugh!

PS. Sending out prayers to Kelsey and Timebuster!

Y'all be sure to catch the moon show tonight!

Everyone have a clean day!

Don't fret, do what we in recovery do make the best out of the situation. While he's in surgery go down to the hospital cafeteria and by a slice of cake and wish yourself a happy birthday LOL I would hehe.

I remember the doctor telling me it's a simple operation were going to go in repair the tear and you'll be good as new. Then I woke up to find out the meniscus was so bad they had to remove it. I was bone on bone and if you think the pain of a torn meniscus is bad, let me tell you from my experience, the pain from being on bone on bone there were days when I wish somebody would just cut my leg off that's how bad the pain was. I hope this is not the case for Jethro and he finds relief after his operation. I'll be sending my thoughts and prayers.

On a lighter note, did you hear about the Girl Scout who sold 695 boxes of cookies and one hour in front of the Marijuana dispensary? That brings up the idea I had years ago. You remember I said years ago if they ever legalized marijuana in my state I was going get a food truck and turn it into a munchies truck? Well, guess what, my dream of owning a munchies truck Is about to come to fruition. The new governor Is going to legalize marijuana in New Jersey and according to the plan, there will be one dispensary and every county. Now, since I make an ugly Girl Scout LOL when I get my truck I'm gonna fill it up with all kinds of goodies I'm going to park it in the vicinity of the dispensary and with all the potheads in New Jersey, I'm going to racked up LOL

I hope all is well

Hello everybody!

Yep TB! I'll make the best of the day at the hospital. I know lots of PPL in there so I'll be having a good day talking with lots of them while I wait for Jethro to get out of surgery.

The doctor hasn't told him it's going to be a simple operation! For all I know he might come out and tell me he needs a knee replacement! Ugh! But probably not since they are going to drill holes in his kneecap to see if it will grow it's own cartilage?

He's also found a place that might hire him too! But it won't happen until after he's healed from his surgery!

I saw that on the news about the Girl Scout selling her cookies where she could make loads of sales! LOL I also heard the law is looking to make recreational smoking legal also! My 21 yro nephew smokes it. I told him NO marijuana here while you're helping out. He's not happy about it, but Jethro would have a Cow if it was here.

He goes this Monday for Preop!

Okay! Short on time this morning! Hugs to ya TB!

Everyone have a clean day!

Hello everyone!

Took Jethro for his Pre-op appointment yesterday! He's good to go to have surgery on the 28th! He kept telling the Anesthesiologist: "Just make damned sure I'm knocked out COLD! I don't want to wakeup during surgery like I did while having Carpal tunnel surgery!" Poor guy! She reassured him he'd be out cold. He WAS told he's at the level/number 6 on the diabetic scale! Ouch! The doctor told him he better start working on losing weight now or face the consequences. Of course he did his usual bad ass comments and ignored her warnings. So on the way home? I told him it was his choice: "Continue eating and snacking like he is or stop? If he didn't stop he was going to start injections!" I left it at that! I noticed today he hasn't snacked not one time!

I'm almost giddy with the fact after his knee surgery he'll soon run out of pain meds. His doctor has cut him way back on his monthly supply. He's been slowly weaning him off them! Woot! Woot! Makes me SOOO happy! Jethro is a mean SOB when he's high from taking one. I do my best to ignore him, but it always seems he finds a reason, a way to start something with me. And then the fight is on! Ugh!

Since the last pill I found and took to him? He's been keeping them out of the house! Thank you Lord! I'm almost four years clean and don't need the temptations lying around the house.

Everyone have a clean day!

Hello everyone!

Jethro had his knee surgery last Wednesday! The surgeon cleaned the torn meniscus and drilled a hole in one part of his knee to fill it with cells. When Jethro started coming to in Recovery? He was in severe pain! They had to call for someone to come put a local in his knee to numb it up. I was running around the hospital visiting and would come back upstairs to see if I could see him yet? On the third visit his nurse was up front! She explained to me they were trying to get him to calm down so the numbing shot could kick in. I told her I could probably get him to calm down. So she told me to come on back.

When I got to his cubicle he was straining in the bed and trying to bust the rails off his bed. Dang! I rushed over to him and started rubbing his head and pulling his hand off the rail. I placed my hand underneath his hand to keep him from grabbing the rail. Whenever he'd go to strain I'd tell him to calm down and breathe! Breathe thru his nose and out his mouth. Then to cough! He needed to clear his lungs. His eyes were rolling around in his head. Ugh! He kept telling me he was in pain. I kept telling him: "Well I hope so considering you just had surgery!" He flipped me off! LOL

He finally woke up and calmed down enough we could get him dressed and headed to physical therapy to get his walker. He couldn't take one step with it and I told the guy he just got out of surgery, we'd try at home the next day. Well he never used the walker. He's been using his crutches. He uses his good leg underneath his surgery leg to lift it on the bed and onto the chair. One night though while he was in bed he asked me to raise his leg up to put the ice pack underneath it! I gently raised his leg, put the ice pack underneath his knee and then w/o thinking? I dropped his leg! He started laughing thru his pain and told me I did real good until I dropped his leg. I was like: "What?" Jesus! I've been so scattered brained trying to do so much around here. My nephew is here helping me, but I discovered he can go thru a 30 pack of beer every single night. Sigh! So I've had several instances with him over that! (I got Jethro to the hospital at 5:00 am and we didn't get home until 4:00 pm)!

Then last Friday we got a call from Jethro's cousin in Washington State telling us Jethro's Aunt passed away and we were being put in charge of her burial! Ummmm What? Cousin's wife just had brain surgery and the younger cousin just got out of the hospital having pneumonia! Damn! My MIL became a real "B" over the funeral and the Will! I wish she'd just GO AWAY until we get her buried. My nephew almost got arrested in a store two nights ago. He was drunk and got escorted out by two managers. I told him no more alcohol or any other drugs while he's here. He didn't drink at all today! I gave him a low mg valium today to help him over the hump. He was ready to explode! It got him calmed down and he even helped me prepare supper. I told him if he thinks he can't do w/o? Let me know and I'll take him home. He can then do whatever he wants to do! So we'll wait and see! It was pleasant tonight looking in his eyes and they not being glazed over. I hope he stays here for the remainder of the two weeks. It will give him a chance to get some clean time under his feet.

Jethro had a bad episode after taking a pain pill a few nights ago! He was yelling at me he was going to take the computer away from me. Then he yelled he was going to throw every pill in the house outside. I said: "What f'ing pills?" I finally told him to either go sit down or better yet? Go to bed! About 30 minutes later. He took a shower and went to bed. Thank goodness! My nephew was in a ranting mood watching the way Jethro was treating me. I told him: "I warned you how bad he can get while taking the pain meds!" Needless to say? It's been a real whirlwind of emotions around here! I need a referee's uniform to keep the two men calmed down.

On top of all the above stuff? We've had leak after leak around here! I've already paid $400.00 to the water company! Our bill is usually $25.00 a month! Thankfully! My nephew has been working with a plumber for over a year and he got everything fixed! We'll get some credit back on the water we didn't actually use. But we won't see any of the money back. Sigh!

Okay! Time to hit the bed so we can go identify the body tomorrow as being Jethro's Aunt that was flown in from Washington to here!

Everyone have a clean day!

Hi everybody!

Jethro is back to walking w/o a cane! He's limping but doing pretty much whatever he wants to do! His cousin in TX had his Suburban hauled here for Jethro to replace the engine in it! That monster was a beast trying to steer backwards into Jethro's shop! I was at the steering wheel. Jethro and nephew were pushing it. He's not taking the pain meds either, but still has the nasty mood swings. I researched one of the meds he's taking and it says it affects the mind. So I'm thinking that's what's causing his anger spells?

We got Jethro's Aunt buried. Jethro's mother caused a scene in the church right before the service started. I yelled at them - Hey, Hey. They split and we went inside for the service. At the burial site? I thought they were going to argue over the crucifix? It was handed to Jethro though! There was a beautiful green plant and I quickly offered it to her. I told her I'd probably kill it and she wouldn't! She laughed and told me thank you! She called him later in the evening and started bitching about everything! He told her he didn't want to hear anymore about it from her and to get over it.

My nephew is doing wonderful! He's only had one beer since the incident at the store when he was kicked out. Two Saturdays ago he wanted to go to Walmart and TSC. I took him to Walmart first and he bought a large can of beer! I asked him what was he doing? He said I knew what he was doing. I dropped the subject! After he drank the beer after we got home? He said he really wished he hadn't done that and he also wasted money buying it! I told him I could have told him that! Sigh! He hasn't touched a drop of alcohol since then. He also stopped taking the Valium!

He got a full time job and is going to start paying us rent! The job is in walking distance! He landed a job smack dab in a group of Recovering Men! He's trying to turn his life around for the better! I'm so proud of him! He's also told me he doesn't want to go back to the lake community where his mom is at. There's nothing up there for him except drugs and alcohol!

Trying to talk with him though is a head banging event on my part! His brain is really pickled from the years of drinking and using. When I try asking him or telling him simple things? He gets super angry! I start laughing! I can't help myself! He now says: "Don't laugh and then grins!" Well of course that gets me to laughing! Then he'll say: "I love you Aunt TOD, but damn!" And I laugh again! I try telling him he doesn't need to get so angry over simple things!

When we went to TSC two weeks ago I walked in the door and heard peeping! I made a U turn and walked back out the doors! I told him I was NOT going back in there. He told me to get my ass in the store! Well I walk back inside and I'm drawn like a moth to a flame to the peeping sounds. I get there and see a tub full of babies trying to drink out of an empty water container! I yell across the store: "They have no water!" Then I see four teeny tiny babies in a tub all to themselves and they all four have little booties covered with dried stuck poop! One was peeping loudly from trying to poop! I got mad and told the clerk walking up, to put them in a box they were going home with ME! So I came home with them and our little Sherry took them under her wings to raise! She weighs a total of two pounds! Good thing the babies are going to be small chickens! She loves being a momma and raising babies!

I got my new permanent upper denture last Friday! It needs adjusting though. So I'm heading to the dentist office later today to get it done. Jethro is going to drive me in his car since it's going to be a stormy day! I'll be seeing a new dentist too! My dentist retired the day after my appointment. He even stayed a week longer just to finish my denture for me. I'm gonna miss him something bad!

Everyone have a clean day!

Hello everyone!

This past Sunday my nephew moved out! He didn't go far! There's a building where he works that he sleeps in. It was a bitter time seeing him move out. On my part anyway! Jethro couldn't wait for him to leave. Sigh! I hope one day those two get past their animosity towards each other. My nephew loves me dearly and will be coming to visit regularly. He also doesn't like living alone. As a matter of fact I made him supper Sunday for helping me out and he came by tonight! I made him a jug of tea and warmed up some leftover pizza for him. At least with him living out of our house? Jethro doesn't seem to have a beef with him when he visits me! Men! I'm also going to teach him how to make sun tea! There isn't a stove or fridge where he's at, yet! I managed to keep him clean and sober for almost two months. He's got a fulltime job now and has landed himself in the middle of Recovering men too on the job! So I'm not worried about him!

I'm doing well! Jethro is replacing an engine in his cousin's Suburban now. All the chickens are healthy and thriving too!

Everyone have a clean day!

Hello everyone!

From the post above on March 12? I talked about the water leaks we had around here. I got my water bill a couple of days ago and was thrilled to see I got a credit. My bill is $4.84 after they credited the $25.00 due. I hope I'll see more, but I'm not holding my breath on it.

Jethro has decided he doesn't ever want anything to do with my nephew again. Sigh. He's not even allowed back on the property! Jethro hasn't told him to his face, but he's made it clear to me. I've told the both of them to grow the 'F' up and act mature! I'm sick of the anger and BS from the both of them aimed at one another. It's like dealing with two 3 year olds.

I talked Jethro into clearing all the small trees that grew up along the front of the house and a bunch of weeds too. They were overtaking the house and they were nothing but ant highways. After cutting the stuff down? The ants were going berserk! I went thru 5 gallons of spray to kill them off. Once we get all the stuff trimmed away from the house we are going to power wash it.

I've been clearing the porch room out. Anything that should be in the shop or barn is going out the door. Jethro is getting more and more pissed off because I'm doing this. I've told him many times: "It's my room and this stuff is yours, not mine! I have stuff in here that I'm literally tripping over because I have no place to put it! So I'm making room for my things I need in here!" He's told me he doesn't want me cluttering up his shop. Well damn! How about how I feel with all your stuff in here taking up space I need? So on and on it goes. I've told him to build himself more shelves to put the stuff on in his shop!

Jethro's anger has me nipping at his heels every day! I'm sick of it! The only answer I get is: "Your the reason I'm so angry because of your bitching!" I've tried being overly nice to keep the peace. I've ignored him to keep the peace. But he just doesn't stop! He just doesn't see what his anger is doing to the both of us.

My little Silkie hen, Molly, stopped being able to walk a couple of weeks ago. It's tearing me up I might lose her soon. She's been with us for 8 years. I made her a Vet appointment to be seen this coming Wednesday! If there's a chance I can help her? Then I've got to take it. I'm pretty good at helping sick, injured chickens, but this thing with her legs has me puzzled and heartbroken!

Jethro got the Suburban back up and running again after installing the new engine. He's got several projects on his list of things to do now. I just hope he continues helping me get this place cleaned up and the house repairs done?

Everyone have a clean day!

Hello everyone!

I really don't know where to begin with this post! So much negative stuff has happened in my life since this past Saturday I'm at a very low point. Not to the point of popping pills though!

I guess I'll start with my older sister's live-in BF. He's lived there for 12 years. I've read a ton of posts and articles about suicide, depression and addiction/alcoholism. Something NO ONE wants to deal with in their family! Sadly! He took his own life Saturday night! He had been drinking from Friday to Saturday night. My sister came home Saturday around 6:00 pm. He was blitzed. She told him to go to bed. He went in his bedroom, peed on the carpet and fell down. Sunday, (Mother's Day), my sister tried to open his bedroom door and couldn't. She shoved the door as hard as she could until she could get an arm inside. He was laying against the door. He was ice cold to the touch. My sister called 911. When the Police arrived it was discovered he'd shot himself. He was 56 years old. Every ounce of blood in his body had drained out all around him.

Sunday, (Mother's Day), Jethro finally lost it! We got into a really bad argument. He was in my face yelling at me. I kept telling him to get out of my face. When he didn't? I bopped him in the lower part of his face with the TV remote control. He shoved me backwards with both hands using all his strength. I went down hard. I hit my head on the wooden stand holding my flat screen TV. He was holding me down continuing to yell at me. I was crying and screaming at him to let me up due to the pain I was in. He wouldn't! When he finally stood up. I slowly got up! I pointed at the door and told him to GET OUT! He got in my face again. I then told him if he didn't get out of my face? I was going to call the police. So what does he do? He says: "Here! Let me call them for you!" And did! I was hysterical! I kept saying: "You're going to get me arrested!" Within minutes there were 3 police cruisers with sirens blaring and lights flashing pulling into our driveway. I went in the house and changed my clothes, took my daily handful of pills and came back to the porch room. In my porch room stood a Police Officer asking me to tell him what happened. So I did. He asked me why he thought he did this? I said: "It's medication he takes! It makes him super angry!" He said: "Might be time to talk with his doctor?" I agreed! Thankfully I wasn't arrested. But he told me if they had to come back out? It would be a different story!

What little Jethro tried talking to me the rest of the day? I'd answer with: "You almost got me arrested!" Around 1:30 pm I got ready, picked my nephew up and we went to my Mom's house where everybody was gathering. By the time we got there I was covered in bruises. I told everyone what happened.

Monday was my older sister's BD! Jethro went to my Mom's to work on her pump. He told her: "I didn't hit TOD! She fell!" Mom said: "I love you! But I'm always going to side with my daughter!" He dropped the subject! The following day I asked him: "Why did you lie to my Mom?" He said: "Well you did! I didn't lie! You know how you're always bumping into things and getting bruises from it. That's why you have those bruises!" OMG! I was livid! I said: "Get off this damned medication! It's making you squirrely!" He said: "Oh yes! Need we forget you're the medication expert?" I then said: "If I showed all these bruises to the police? They'd arrest your ass!" He said: "OH! You want to go there?" I said: "No! I want you OFF this medication!"

I was just waking up when he came into my bedroom at 5:00 pm Monday, holding Molly, saying she had just passed. Shock wouldn't let me register it. I told him to lay her down beside me. He did and walked out. I just laid there stroking her silkie soft feathers, talking to her. When I finally got up? I took her to Jethro. I walked in the kitchen in a daze, turned my coffee on to perking and went to get dressed.

When I came back to the kitchen I poured my cup of coffee and came to the porch room. I really couldn't focus on anything! Considering what I'd endured Sunday and now my Molly had passed too! My mind wasn't firing on all cylinders.

Later in the evening Jethro and myself got into another argument! I finally screamed: "Get off the F'ing pills that's making you crazy and angry all the time!" He grabbed the pill bottle and tossed it at me. Then he emptied his container for Monday's pills and slapped them on the table. Later when he went to go to bed he picked the pills up and threw them in the trash. So immature!

I asked him the next day if he'd talked with his doctor? He said: "No!" I told him I was going to talk to him. Well that pissed him off. So later in the afternoon I saw him logged into the VAH secure messaging. After he went to bed I checked to see if he'd sent a message. And he did. A simple statement of my meds need to be looked at according to my wife. HAH! He wasn't going to get by with that! I opened my secure page and started typing. I asked my doctor to send the message to his doctor.

Today was a much nicer day since he's not been taking the meds. It's a seizure med that was prescribed for his fibromyalgia! One of the side affects is it makes PPL hostile! Well he had that one down pat!

It was Sunday when I was shoved to the floor. It's early Saturday morning, six days later now. I'm still covered in bruises and so sore I can't hardly move. I highly suggest to anyone out there dealing with their significant other showing signs of aggression after starting a new medication? Talk to their doctor. It only gets worse!

Everyone have a clean day!

Hello everyone!

Latest on nephew! He moved out of his place he was living in this last Saturday. He's back home at his mom's and stepdad's place living in the fishing shed. He's been drinking and smoking weed at his place ever since he moved there. Sigh! And now that he's back at home? He's probably stoned off his gourd and drunk beyond standing. I can only hope he'll wake up one day.

While he still lived close to us? Jethro discovered his cousin's suburban's dashboard had been smashed in. The one he just replaced the engine in. He blames my nephew for doing it. I vehemently denied he did it, but after the last few weeks of dealing with him and listening to him constantly cuss my husband when he talked about him? As well as watching him beat his own head with his fists and breaking things whenever he got mad? I'm starting to think he did smash the dashboard in knowing Jethro would have to pay to fix it. The only problem though? He didn't think it thru in his fuzzed head! His Aunt TOD is the one that's going to be paying for it. I saw him Friday night and he was high as a kite. He also stood there and waved his hand over our property and said: "You're the kind of PPL that needs to be robbed!" Jesus Christ! He has really flipped his lid. We now keep all the gates locked and I'm getting a puppy to start training as a watch dog for around here. If I ever catch him on our property and/or find out he's had anything to do with stealing from us? I'll have his ass arrested.

Now for Jethro. Since getting off the seizure meds? He's been a total different person. He's no longer an angry person and doesn't explode at the least little thing either. We work together around here getting things cleaned up and a lot of other stuff accomplished. It's such a blessing to have my Jethro back again.

Hello everyone!

Found out a few days ago my Uncle has stage 4 liver cancer! The doctor gave him a year if that much. We had a large gathering at my Moms today with a bunch of family members to give him prayers and to also wish all the men a Happy Father's Day!

Jethro is still having his ups and downs with his emotions! We've had some good yelling matches. I've said more than once: "I can't take anymore! I'm going to start making arrangements to get the hell out of here!" It was said today on the way home from my Mom's house. Well of course after he sat and thought about it? He got nice real quick! I'd LOVE to know what and why he acts like this? He hasn't gotten any new meds, but I know he still has the pain meds he takes occasionally! And he's a real ass when he's taken one! But he always says? "So what med are you going to blame it on this time? Because I'm not taking anything!" I'm at a loss! I can't stay focused on him and his problems though! I have my own stuff to concentrate on!

I took a leap of faith a couple weeks ago on my own! Since Jethro hasn't worked in almost 3 years? Our finances took a bad hit! So I signed up with a debt resolution company to get back on track! Not what I wanted to do, but I was at my wits end.

I'm again taking another big step in a few days! I've decided to stop the occasional Baileys mixed in milk drinking AND I'm also going to stop smoking! I've been wanting to do this for a long time, just had to get my head wrapped around it! Well I'm there! And it's way past time for it to happen! I'm certainly not looking forward to the days ahead of me when it starts. Which will be in a few days. I've already stopped the Baileys, but I have 4 packs of cigarettes left. Ugh! I've got 2 years off sodas and will have 4 years off the pain meds next month. So IK I can do this! It's just one of those things that's a pain in the ass to get thru!

Wish me well everyone in my new endeavors!

Everyone have a clean day!

Update!

I've not had any Baileys mixed in milk for 3 nights now! I just opened my last pack of cigarettes! My nerves are getting frazzled! I've SOOOO wanted to do this for so many years, but just never got the nerve up to make it happen! And now here I am! Almost at the starting gate to making it happen! I'm so excited to finally make this happen, but so scared of starting it!

Every time hubby walks by me or I hug him? He smells so clean w/o the tobacco smell he wore for so many years ago. He's been smoke free for almost five years now. He tells me quite often: "You stink!" Yes! I know! I want so badly to stop smelling like cigarettes!

I also want to stop making those emergency trips due to just about running out of cigarettes! I've gone w/o the Baileys many times because alcohol doesn't freak me out like the pain pills did whenever I'd get low on them. But since I was out for cigarettes? I got the Baileys too whether I was low on it or not.

It's all been a money eating rat race for me! For far too long! I've made my mind up to stop! And that's exactly what's going to happen! Just like it did with the pain meds and cokes I was drinking!

My husband's dearest friend that has been like a father to him is on his death bed right now. He may not make it thru the night! He told me months ago. He wished he'd never started smoking. And begged me to stop for Jethro's sake and of course my own. He's dying from lung cancer! He said: "When you can't breathe anymore? That's when you'd wished you stopped long before it happened. But by then it's too late!" It's a frightening thing to think about! But most of us know how addictive cigarettes are? Ugh

So more than likely tomorrow I'll be out of cigarettes at some point and that's when I'll start the new chapter of being smoke free!

Everyone have a clean day!

Wow, dear one this is the best news I heard all year.

Congratulations sound like you have a plan in place I am so proud of you.

Thank you for reaching out and for being so honest in your post, your words will certainly speak straight to the hearts of so many people who want to quit this nasty habit.

For us former smokers the sad truth is often just 1 will always be too many and 1000 would never be enough. The worst part will be the first 72 hours whatever you do don't give into those horrible and nasty cravings and letting all that you worked so hard for go down the drain. One day you will look back on this and accept it for what it is. (A gift)

Cancer, heart disease, stroke, diabetes and many many more have been linked to cigarettes. Need I go on. Not to mention the money you're going to save. Eight dollars a pack that comes out to $2,940 a year. Damn that's a lot of money LOL

If you're struggling and need any tricks or tips you know how to find me.

Love ya

Thank you TB!

I've made it 5 nights w/o any Baileys mixed in milk.

I caved though when I was down to three cigarettes and had Jethro go buy me 4 packs! Which is a good thing! Normally I'd have him get me a carton! I was a blubbering mess over his friend on his death bed! And I've gotten a whole stack of bills in the mail looking for payment. I just want to crawl under the bed covers and stay there for the next month! But I'll always pull thru after times of having a breakdown over things!

Then last night I knocked some papers off a chair where Jethro sits and saw it was a prescription instruction sheet. I'll be damned if it isn't the same sh!t that's made him a crazy person just recently! Oh I was boiling mad! I looked to see if he's taken any? And he has! (He'll be mad as all get out when he gets up and sees I wrote on the paperwork: "This was to be discontinued!" But I don't care!) I warned him Mother's Day weekend! It's me or the meds? Take your pick! He stopped taking the meds. And there was no more crazy from him. My nerves honestly can't take everything that's happening right now in my life and then to have this added on top of it? I'm ready to walk!

He wants me to stop the Baileys and to stop smoking! Well I'm making an effort to do that! Which I'm sure there are some of y'all out there nodding your heads at the knowledge of how hard it is to stop smoking? So with him going back on these meds that makes him crazy, after he got off them? Yeah I'm really pissed! And scared of how he's going to start acting again!

He's having a lot of pain with his knee that he had surgery on back in Feb! I keep telling him to go to his doctor. Better yet? Find a different doctor and get the hell away from the one he has now. I don't care for his doctor at all.

Hello

Hi TOD I've been following your thread since 2017 always reading never posting a reply. I've enjoyed countless stories and laughs of your feathered family, always looking forward to next update ! Well today I decided to say hello and thank you for the various topics, issues and struggles you've shared. Bcuz although you didn't know I was reading often and listening I was...lol. Congratulations on your 4 yrs this month, you encourage me ! I hope things with Jethro does not regress, some meds can truly change us. My husband is still a chronic user of opiates and makes it very difficult for me. I am trying to recover from opiates today. Finally got past the chronic use even past weekly use but my struggle remains real. Wishing you you well on your journey with quitting the smoking.

Hello everyone!

Welcome 2thru1 to my strange world! LOL And thank you for chiming in here! I always wonder who's reading? I too live with a husband that has pain meds here! I'll find them by accident in his bedroom from time to time. I immediately tell him to get them out of the house! He usually comes back with: "Where did you find them?" I show him the location. Then he says: "I didn't know they were in here!" I don't give a rat's ass! Just GET them the F out of this house. And KEEP them out! I don't play around where those are concerned! I don't want them anywhere near me or around me. Every time I find them? My heart starts racing! My mind goes into the old thoughts of how they made me feel when I took them. Then I remind myself of all the BS I went thru while taking them? And I DON'T ever want to be there again! That's how I manage to stay off them! We all know as addicts? Just one isn't going to do it for us! And I know there will never be enough to satisfy my desire either. So why the hell take just one? Take them to Jethro and get them out of your head! And that's what I do! They are death to myself! So I don't think about them, because I want to LIVE! I have multiple animals/chickens that depend on me for their care. I love them and they love me! So why would I want to screw myself up by getting back on those damned pain pills? Just to end up fighting to get off them again? I'm just not going there!

Thank you on the 4 year congrats! Got a few more days to get there though! It's the 7th! When I started this journey? The date was 7-7-2014! Cool date to start, and it wasn't planned either! LOL

As for the Baileys and cigarettes? I've stopped the Baileys! I'm still smoking, but I've cut way back on them. I really want to quit! I just got so much stuff I'm dealing with right now? I can't stop completely! I'll go stark raving mad if I did.

I fell off the page because I'm losing sleep by the hours, thanks to new members of our house and family! LOL I'll get back to them in a minute!

I confronted Jethro the following day about the meds! He said: "I realized what they were after opening the bottle! I'll return them to the VAH!" Well thank goodness for that! We still have our fallouts though! Had one today! But they're short and not explosive like they used to be.

Our poor chickens are mad at us every day! It's so damned hot? I won't put them outside until around 5:00 pm. We quickly clean their carriers and then shortly after they all come in for the night.

Okay! Let me do a different post on the new family members!

Everyone have a clean day!

TOD
