This is a special place
Having tried to quit before, I visited a few boards way back when. You would not believe how judgmental and combative some of these sites are. You WILL fail! There is no hope without meetings the rest of your days! If you feel better you are LYING to yourself! Ad nauseum.
The two worst was an ex Tramadol user that felt she knew more about your life than you did and a former alcoholic that was convinced no one ever gets better (they are just lying to themselves and others).
Its so nice to be at supportive place where you don't get jumped for everything. Excellent job, all:-)

I don't know where I'd be without SR. It's been a lifeline. I can't talk to anyone in my life about my problems, but here... I am accepted, advised and welcomed. We can help each other through just about anything and support everyone who "walks" through our door. This place is a blessing, for sure.

I'm with you, BFD. No one knows my trouble but my mom. My wife and I moved 600 miles away this month (no connections!).
The funny thing is, my wife has some letters in front of her name but has no idea, nor will she ever. She is a huge motivation for me to stop because it would kill her to know. She too great a person to put through that so SR is it for me.

It was scary to leave a supply but I know I would have had a rougher time if we stayed. Its a heck of a lot tougher to drive 9 hours to get something than 9 minutes.
