The Not so Subtle Humiliation We Have Put Ourselves Through

I recently started another post that brought this topic to light for me.How many times have you had to put yourself in a situation where you were humiliated because you had to cop your DOC??I had to do it too many times to count.I think that humiliation fueled my using even more. However, today I no longer have to subject myself to public ridicule or beg anyone for a fix. When the table turned, and I saw a friend in that situation, it made me realize even more how getting clean gave me a newfound pride.I know that as long as I stay clean and stay away from people that use, I will be just fine.I am so greatful that I never have to be the scapegoat anymore.:Dance7:
