Being in recovery is the craziest, most difficult thing I've done. I'm glad I'm in A.A. and I'm gratefull I'm underage so I can just go buy it.
But Alcohol hasn't been my only problem.
I have this horrible "talent" to look inside a medicine cabnet and know what to mix to get high.
I'm not going to say which ones are which to mix, cause I don't want to give anyone ideas who may not want them.
It's hard to know what I "want" is in the house when I have a craving.
I'm wondering if anyone has ever done this.

Thank goodness no. I'd probably kill myself or blow up the house or something.

Has anyone in AA mention to you abstinence means from all mind altering substances.

Yes, I have that problem along with many others I've known. It very common, stealing other peoples meds. We can't be clean and sober until we are able to not open up other peoples medicine cabinets!

yes, i have that problem, especially when my son was using he would tell me about all kinds of ways to mix different drugs to make something that would get you f**ked up. and then one time this guy thaat came over that I was getting xanax from said he knew how to make it, but never told me how, well he told me where to get the recipe from but I never checked into, wow I justed remembered , I think I was so barred out at the time I forgot about that conversation. I am so happy I never got the recipe or I would have really been strung out on "bars".
