Music That Makes You Groove??.....
So what kind of music do you guyslisten to??
I know I really get alot of inspiration from music..
Lately I have been checking out Seether and Amy ...from Evanessence..Really jammin tunes!!
Sometimes what gets me up and moving is a little ANGRY music...Eminem can kick out a beat...
I also like Johnny Cash...
LOVE the new Kid Rock...a little trashy maybe ...but energizing!!!!
So tell me ??? WHat kind of music helps you motivate????

North, love Eminem. I just got Kid Rock's new one! I like it a lot. I also got Eddie Vedder's new one, the soundtrack to "Into the Wild" My all time favorite song is R.E.M's "Losing my Religion" Don't know why. My 27 year old nephew is horrified that I know a lot of the stuff he likes, lol!

the new radiohead album, in rainbows, is outta sight... for mellow stuff. lotsa johnny cash, he's amazing. and for getting amped, i listen to punk rock or hip hop, usually. bands like the descendents, bad religion, misfits, bad brains, black flag, etc. etc. or, jurassic 5, krs-1, aceyalone, mf doom, blackalicious, lyrics born, etc. etc. and i love reggae and jam bands and jazz and rock n roll and old country tunes and bluegrass and funk and fusion... all kinds of music, as long as it's goooood...

Recently I like Justin Timberlake "Future sex/LoveSounds" Who knew he'd grow up to be quite a hip hopper... A few of the songs are great to work out to.

northbell, i also like seether and amy but i really like all the 70's stuff....bob segar, lynark skynard (simple man), pink floyd, etc. and i like some country music....i can handle most all of it except rap. i hate rap music and the big band stuff!
my son before he passed away turned me on to some cool music, incumbus??? and some other great stuff. when he passed away we made a tape of all of the songs he liked. it was great, because he was just beginning to appreciate some to the same songs i liked. simple man was one on them. we played that at his funeral....."mama told me, when i was young, come sit beside me, my only son, listen closely to what i say and if you do it will help you some sunny day....."
i miss him....north.....he was a great guy.

Oh, Mackie, I hear ya! Blue Oyster Cult "Don't Fear the Reaper" is one of my favorites!
North, as far as music that gets me moving I really tend to like dreary depressing stuff - old Joan Baez, Eva Cassidy.
Some newer stuff I like is Hoobastank, Howie Day, Pink (love that girl - Stupid Girls is one of the funniest songs) and of course I adore Kelly Clarkson (sorry American Idol haters) Her new album is edgy and angry. Oh, and Nickelback.
I agree about bluegrass, Tenn. I do love Allison Kraus. I actually have one of her cds.

Any House dance music with a good beat…And loud…Then I can mellow out and sing along with the Stylistics…BETHA BY GOLLY WOW…YOU MAKE ME FEEL BRAND NEW…BRAKE UP TO MAKE UP…Now those are some classics. I can get into some Buster Rhymes…Or Joe Bataan…SAD GIRL…COWBOYS TO GIRL…When I want to let out some steam…Linkin Park…HYBRID THEORY…I also enjoy light jazz…And salsa music.

oh, windy, you got me on the WP. my friend dev has seen them twice in sobriety, jamie went once, and me? i couldn't afford the ticket.
