Wow, Clan of Xymox! That's a name I haven't heard in awhile. I remember them good ol' 80's 4AD Records ...
Miki: No, I can't say I've participated in any Alarm forums. And I don't actually own the Poppy Fields CD as such but ... <cough> ... I have, shall we say, acquired the songs that are on it? Don't tell Mike ... That's cool you know those guys, I was *really* into them from 1987-1990 during their heyday. I remember blasting Change out my dorm room so I could hear it when I was laying out at the pool back at Cal Poly, SLO. That disc always takes me back to those days when I hear it now. Good times, good times ...
LT:
I'm ... just a few years older than you, in my pic there though I'm 33 exactly. I still look almost identical now it's not that long ago, put it like that. Glad you checked out the tune and that it cheered you up a bit. Hang in there ... and continue to do whatever I tell you to do

Yep, I saw it. Good movie. I partied with HR in Baton Rouge when they played back in the 80's. He's one crazy dude. That was a lost weekend for sure. A yuppie club booked them thinking they were a reggae band....boy was the coked-up bar owner surprised when all these freaks showed up. LOL

hi windy, went out to work to the middle of nowhere, i am an architect and building some ecological lodges in the coast of Jalisco, Mexico, beautiful, all bambu and local materials, sun powered, water recycled, amazing, when it´s finished ill send pics.
Want some others weird bands like Xymox?
Xmal Deustchland
Johny Guitar Watson
Gong (super drug orientated from the 60´s psychedelic)
Soft Machine
Robert Fripp / fisrt albums
Nizzer Ebb
Front 242 (love industrial)
Tuxedo Moon
Roy Buchanan (worlds best unknown guitarist), i think he passed away from drinking but he sure as hell make me cry, the gtr player with the most feeling i ever heard.
Brian Eno and Bowie made some weird sh.t in the early 70´s also
like 20 years ago Souxie, The Cure, Depressed Mode, and the smiths i considered them "dark" and underground at the time, but became more mainstream, and i like them too, specially depressed mode, music 4 the masses.
i´d like 2 reccomend u people a band from Argentina named Soda Stereo, these guys are the pioneers of latin american rock, it would be impossible to define thieir music, bur it´s elegant rock, finesse and education. pick any album or song, just look on the intenet, you´ll see, so that u guys get to know some music from outside.
Soda Stereo rules.
