Thank You Thread.

This is my first real thread, and I thought a Thank You Thread was indicated, and something else I think my friends will relate to. I tried yesterday to open a thread but didn't want to be duplicitious, as I posted the same thing as a response elsewhere.

Today is day..."what the hell who cares", I mean, really...Like Cathy a friend of mine who is a fram girl says, "get over yourself and move on". How cool.

Anyway, I got out of bed this morning, and immediately knew two things. One I felt like a million bucks. Two, I was sicker than **** from a bad upper respiratory deal my co-worker has. Sneezing, cold chills, bad sore throat. Sooooooooooooo bad, that...I can't smoke a disgusting cigarette. that is bad.

I guess my point is, going through the few days is worth it and not impossible at all, with help from others. This cold deal is just a shrug off when feeling better for the first day from hydro withdrawals. I'm at work, nose running all over the keyboard, from a COLD, not the hydro, and feel, well, pretty good!!!

Now. The important part. I don't want to miss a name, so I will not mention names. You all know who you are. I cannot begin to say how it would have been impossible for this weak dog turd to get off of the hydro, (at least for this day only), without your help.

I am tearing up and the keys are getting cloudy, and I would never admit I was teary eyed. However, maybe a little emotion doesn't hurt a guy once in awhile.

God Bless my Friends.

Thank You.

Waldo

You're entirely welcome.

Hey Waldo.
I'm so glad you decided to stay off the hydros. Now that's cool!
Keep on keeping on. Hope that cold goes away quickly.

Thank you Waldo...

We here are all on the same trail heading to the same destination. The destination is a life where we all are clean and sober. Some of us are farther down the trail than others, but every morning we wake up we are starting out the same...

Thanks for being here for me...

Life is so good when you don't pick up a drink or drug...

One day at a time.

Steve

As one weak dog turd to another, congratulations
Seriously, don't beat yourself up for then, revel in now!
Hoping to make you smile through tears, I remain your humble servant,

I am just so glad you FEEL better and HOPEFUL. It is so good to not be a prisoner to drugs anymore huh?
I too like what Cathy says..get over yourself..so true , so true. I am so obsessed with me and my little plans sometimes I forget about the bigger picture. When I can get out of myself and feel some gratitude for getting another chance at this my day looks so much brighter.
I feels good today to care about other folks huh??
love north
