bupramorphine detox, severely depressed

This is my first post so excuse any errors.. After taking subutex and bupramorphine for the last 18 months ( and not the right way either, snorting) I decided I was quiting so I did my own taper and basically went from 8 mill a day to the smallest possible amount in 10 days. I'd done it before and knew it would be hard but knew it need doing. No need to go in to details because if your reading this then you probably already know about opiate withdrawal. So it's now 4 weeks clean and that is great but what I didn't plan for was the crippling depression and fatigue! I've done nothing for the last two weeks other than spiral down a black hole.. Suicidal thoughts occurring all the time. I've been prescribed matrazipam by my doctor and I'm hoping these lift this feeling of emptiness. It's already cost me my job, I hope it doesn't cost me more.

Welcome Wdza - I don't know anything about subs but I wanted to bump your thread and let you know that people are reading.

I'm sorry about your depression.

I think thats a constant for most people in withdrawal for a little while anyway, regardless of drug of choice.

Thinking about suicide is a step on from that too.

Maybe ringing a crisis line or reading through some of the links here could help?
