I'm back and so much worse :(, I need my dear friends on here to help me get through this nightmare

Hey guys, I joined a couple of years ago, my vice was drink. I found this forum very helpful. Since then I have had many horrible experiences in my life, I left someone I loved as he beat me very badly. Met someone else and got addicted to heroin and crack. Yep, stupid I know, Im a trained nurse and should have known better but at the time it was great...Until the money ran out, my veins collapsed, lost my looks, etc...I just wanted to get some kind words from someone. I hate going out now, have lost my life please help!

Welcome toddle! I think the great thing about being at ones bottom makes it easier to become determined to get better. You can be the person you want to be. Have you looked into detox options in your area? Life has so much to offer when we are sober and happiness tends to follow. Stick around here and don't give up! You're worth it!

PK means welcome back to this supportive community - it's not rude, and it's not a joke.

I add my welcome back too, as you know this is a very supportive community. I just saw your post in my other thread so wrote to you there as well.

How are you doing? Do you have any support like counseling or meetings or anything to help you in f2f life? I know from experience how hard opiates are to kick, and as much support as you can get would really help. In the meantime please keep posting on SR, you have support here.

Welcome back Toddle. Can you see a doctor about detox/w-d at least? I assume part of posting here is wanting to turn your life around? Keep posting. PJ and my prayers

(((Toddle)) I remember you too! Dont be embarrassed, it happens. Be proud you reached out. That takes courage. I went out after eleven years! I came back, got busy with recovery and now have 9 years of continuous sobriety. You can do this!

Love from Lenina

You can reclaim your life, toddle. Like Lenina, I went out after a long period of sobriety - for 7 yrs. I'm now heading towards 9 yrs. free of it. So - it can be done - and you will do it.

Iremember you too Toddle

If you start a thread in the Newcomers or Alcoholism forums, I think you'll get a better response for your current problem?
