Off Methadone for 7 weeks...
I have been off methadone for 7 weeks now. It actually was better than I expected. I took valium for the first couple of weeks to make sure I could sleep, but have been fine ever since. The only withdrawal symptoms that are effecting me is the loss of energy, chills and depression. When does your head start to clear and when does the energy come back? Also I am looking for any vitamins that can help with the energy and depression. I am not looking to do any prescription drugs.
I found that walking was the best thing for me. Every day
it got a little easier and after the third or forth day I was actually really getting into it. It really helps to rid the body of all of the negative toxins and your natural seratonin starts replenishing itself in your brain. Please give it a shot.

I agree with Woog. Walking is the best thing to do.
I'm on Day 20 of being off Methadone and have low energy, but I force myself to go for walks or hiking with my dog and it really helps.
The biggest thing I'm struggling with is waking up early in the morning and not being able to fall back to sleep. It's so frustrating. But, I'll take that over full blown withdrawals any day.
Congrats on your 7 weeks. That is absolutely fantastic.
