very similar experience for me mfanch ^^^^^ I always felt (and often still do) that I'm not really DOING the steps right that I wasn't understanding them fully, or enough. Once I did them "poorly" and began to make a start on the next couple steps, it seemed like what I'd been trying to understand in the previous steps started to come into focus.

Only in AA would I have to surrender to doing something poorly to end up getting it right.

Step 3 Worksheet?

Thank you for providing these great questions for working Step 3. Do you have a worksheet available with these questions or could you recommend a source for such worksheet? Thank you!

I just use the big book and look for directions
then I try to follow them
