Spiritual Prayers and Thoughts of Recovery ~ Part 4

I gave this thread a bit of a new name to better reflect the thoughts, poems and prayers that we post each day. The spiritual thoughts and prayers continue from here...

I like to begin each new thread with this. It's a classic and very special to me.

Mayan Code of Honor

As you walk your path of life and love
guide yourself into spirituality
Be patient with yourself;
there is no rush when it comes to
advancing on whatever path you choose.
We have chosen to come again,
A new day dawns as WE awaken
to the marvel of heaven on earth.
WE are spiritual beings
wearing human cloaks.

Trust yourself and go within.
As the rambling begin to quiet,
listen to the whispers of your
inner self; your intuition; your spirit.
Keep what is good for you.
Love ALL unconditionally.
ONE becomes a Way of Life.

~ Mayan Code of Honor

Thanks for the new thread Ann, the new title is very fitting. I hope all went well for you yesterday. Mayan code of honour is beautiful.

I've probably posted this before but it still applies. I hope it helps. xx

Whatever youíre feeling, be good to yourself.
If you feel lost, be patient with yourself while you find your way.
If you feel scared, be gentle with yourself while you find the strength to face your fear.
If you feel hurt, be kind to yourself while you grieve and slowly heal.
You canít bully yourself into clarity, courage, or peace, and you canít rush self-discovery or transformation.
Some things simply take time, so take the pressure off and give yourself space to grow.

When you find a dream inside your heart,
don't let it go.
Dreams are the tiny seeds from which,
beautiful tomorrow's grow.

I often post from my "treasures", some I have posted before even more than once. But these are the classics that I never stop learning from and am inspired by. This is one of them.

It gets better.
Stay in between my synapses
tap it out in Morse code
if need be.

It gets better.
Take me outside to look
at the birds flying in unison
taste the salty air
by the boundless ocean
feel the sand between clenched toes.

It gets better.
Take my mind off what I know
is too big for me
this thing I always dance around
and never mention.

That's why there is faith.
It's the bridge between
the impossible and the infinite.
Please get me and mine safely across.

Thank you Ann, I'm happy to read them over and over. x
Oh this is so me today.....

And some days life is just hard.
And some days are just rough.
And some days you just gotta cry before you move forward.
And all of that is okay.

When your head hits the pillow tonight,
remind yourself that you've done a good job.
You are headed down your own path at your own pace,
and with every obstacle you are trying your utmost best.
Be patient with yourself,
and remember that big things are achieved not all at once,
but one day at a time.

Tiny buddha.

Just some wise words of advice this morning. xx

Donít personalize or internalize other peopleís behavior.
What they do is not a reflection of you.
Their actions represent them and where they are in their growth.
Just observe instead of getting caught up and overreacting emotionally.

Wise words today, Daisy. I own my stuff, others own theirs.

There is no way to happiness,
happiness is the way.

You should be happy right in the here and now.
There is no way to enlightenment.
Enlightenment should be right here and right now.
The moment when you come back to yourself, mind and body together,
fully present, fully alive, that is already enlightenment.
You are no longer a sleepwalker.
You are no longer in a dream.
You are fully alive.
You are awake.
Enlightenment is there.

And if you continue each moment like that,
enlightenment becomes deeper.
More powerful.

There is no way to enlightenment,
enlightenment is the way.

That's the way it goes Ann. Glad today went well for you. xx

At the end of the night,
before you close your eyes,
be content with what you've done and
be proud of who you are.

Goodnight, much love to you all. xx

Voices And Choices
Ron Atchison

It happens to me too,
the voices and choices
are too much at times
and I need a quiet place
just me and the moon
or me and the sky
a place where I can hear God whisper
reminding me to breathe
asking me to 'hold on'
and when I hear this
I know everything will be O.K.

Glad you found us, it was originally "Prayers for the Addict Who Still Suffers" but over time just became a more positive thread for everyone.

The new name suits the thread very well, I like it. I like 'Voices and choices' too.

The fact that youíre struggling doesnít make you a burden.
It doesnít make unlovable, undesirable, or undeserving of care.
It doesnít make you too much or too sensitive or too needy.
It makes you human.

If you're reading this,
release your shoulders from your ears,
unclench your jaw,
and remove your tongue from the roof of your mouth.
We physically hold onto stress in the least noticeable ways.
RELAX.

Ha ha, it really does Ann, we don't realise how tense we actually are at times.

You donít ever have to apologize for feeling sad.
You arenít being too sensitive.
You arenít imagining things or being overdramatic.
Youíre being true to yourself by honoring your emotions, and that is never something you have to feel ashamed of.
Whether you have a need that isnít being met, an old wound thatís been reopened, a person in your life who is making you feel small, a painful memory of something from the past, or an emptiness from the loss of someone you care aboutóthere is always something underlying our sadness, and whatever it is, itís important and valid.
Whatever it is, it deserves to be expressed and felt.
