This morning I have been watching two robins building a nest outside my window, an awesome sight. Then, the first reading I found today was this one...they fit together I think. Enjoy.

A sleeping world emerges to new possibilities
Weakening winter’s icy grip
And birdsong and bleating lamb
Announce to all the promise
That in due season
Creation bursts into life.
And whilst leaves that fell in winter
Lie upon the ground
Soon to feed the earth
In nature’s wondrous cycle
Of death and rebirth
Within the tree is a stirring of new growth

Thank you so much Ann, you were missed yesterday. I will keep my eyes on the good days ahead for sure and the past can stay where it belongs. Onwards and upwards now for me.
Oh how lovely to watch robins nest building in such close proximity, I would love that and I think that your reading is very appropriate. xx

As the day ends put your worries to rest.
Tomorrow is another day,
filled with hope, potential and promise.

Goodnight, sweet dreams. xxx

Good morning all, it's another beautiful spring one here and I'm hoping to get out in the garden and do a bit more tidying up after the winter. Gardening is my therapy and it brings me a great deal of pleasure and peace of mind.

I truly appreciate kindness.
I appreciate people checking up on me.
I appreciate a quick message.
I appreciate those who ask if I’m okay.
I appreciate every single person in my life who has tried to brighten my days.
It’s the little things that matter the most.⠀

Have the best Monday you can with much love to you all. xx

A Classic Inspiration from my Treasures.

The Invitation

By Oriah Mountain Dreamer

It doesn't interest me
what you do for a living.
I want to know
what you ache for
and if you dare to dream
of meeting your heart's longing.

It doesn't interest me
how old you are.
I want to know
if you will risk
looking like a fool
for love
for your dream
for the adventure of being alive.

It doesn't interest me
what planets are
squaring your moon...
I want to know
if you have touched
the centre of your own sorrow
if you have been opened
by life's betrayals
or have become shriveled and closed
from fear of further pain.

I want to know
if you can sit with pain
mine or your own
without moving to hide it
or fade it
or fix it.

I want to know
if you can be with joy
mine or your own
if you can dance with wildness
and let the ecstasy fill you
to the tips of your fingers and toes
without cautioning us
to be careful
to be realistic
to remember the limitations
of being human.

It doesn't interest me
if the story you are telling me
is true.
I want to know if you can
disappoint another
to be true to yourself.
If you can bear
the accusation of betrayal
and not betray your own soul.
If you can be faithless
and therefore trustworthy.

I want to know if you can see Beauty
even when it is not pretty
every day.
And if you can source your own life
from its presence.

I want to know
if you can live with failure
yours and mine
and still stand at the edge of the lake
and shout to the silver of the full moon,
"Yes."

It doesn't interest me
to know where you live
or how much money you have.
I want to know if you can get up
after the night of grief and despair
weary and bruised to the bone
and do what needs to be done
to feed the children.

It doesn't interest me
who you know
or how you came to be here.
I want to know if you will stand
in the centre of the fire
with me
and not shrink back.

It doesn't interest me
where or what or with whom
you have studied.
I want to know
what sustains you
from the inside
when all else falls away.

I want to know
if you can be alone
with yourself
and if you truly like
the company you keep
in the empty moments.

That's beautiful Ann, it's asking if someone has their priorities in the right order.

I'll leave you all with this for tonight...

Never let the darkness or negativity outside affect your inner self.
Just wait until morning comes and the bright light will drive out the darkness.
if today has been difficult, tomorrow is another day.

Goodnight, sleep well, lots of love to you all. xx

That's lovely, Daisy, good night and sleep well.

I will be very late coming here tomorrow and Friday, up early for business in the city, so I will post early for the morning.

I hope your visit goes well Ann, safe journey.

Good morning, it's a bit of a chilly one here, back to my jumper today I think, but at least it's dry. I'm hoping to do a bit more tidying in the garden, I need to get it straight before I plant any bedding plants.

You don’t need to travel the world or do big things to live an extraordinary life.
Be present.
Notice the beauty around you.
Be curious.
Try the things that interest you.
Be brave.
Start the things you’ve been putting off.
Create something. Learn something. Teach something.
And do it all for the love of it.

Have the best Tuesday you can. xx

When you cannot sleep at night,
Have you ever thought
Maybe it's God saying
"We need to talk and now you have time."

Glad your back safely Ann and back to normal.. whatever normal is.
6 am and my favourite time of day when the rest of the house are still fast asleep. My time to reflect on all my blessings.

I used to dislike being sensitive.
I thought it made me weak.
But take away that single trait,
and you take away the very essence of who I am.
You take away my conscience,
my ability to empathize,
my intuition, my creativity,
my deep appreciation of the little things,
my vivid inner life,
my keen awareness of others pain and my passion for it all.

Being sensitive is being open to all we feel and all that is around us. It's a good thing, I think.

One of my favourite treasures, put on your dancing shoes and dance with life...

Each day is a blessing
of epic proportions.
I give thanks for
what might seem meager comforts:
real cream in my coffee,
a day without a bill in the mail,
the Paso Doble.
Sometimes life is a dance
a woman has to do backwards
pushing against the wind
and obstacles in the way.
Thank You for being the partner
who always leads.

paso doble - ruth williams

I love that one too Anne.

Yes Hevyn, it puts another perspective on being a sensitive soul.

Good night and if you take the time to look,
you will find beauty all around,
allow it to bless you
and end your day grateful.

Good morning lovely friends and it's a beautiful one here. It's a bit frosty yet but the sun is shining and its only a little past 6.30 a.m.

Hope you all like this...

IF THE MOUNTAIN SEEMS TO BIG TODAY
then climb a hill instead.
If the morning brings you sadness, it's okay to stay in bed.
If the day ahead weighs heavy and your plans feel like a curse,
there's no shame in rearranging;
don't make yourself feel worse.
If a shower stings like nettles and a bath feels like you'll drown,
if you haven't washed your hair for days don't throw away your crown.
A day is not a lifetime, a rest is not defeat.
Don't think of it as failure, just a quiet, kind retreat.
It's okay to take a moment from an anxious, fractured mind,
The world will not stop turning while you get realigned.
The mountain will still be there, when you want to try again,
You can climb it in your own time.
Just love yourself til then.

Laura Ding.

These words are poking me in the ribs today, Daisy. On another reading today I said that it's easy to "know" these things, to understand them, but to actually "live" them takes practice. Thank you for the reminder and lovely poem.

Why is it that we feel guilty if we take pause, in life, to simply take care of ourselves. This applies whether we are going through a rough time or just day to day busy-ness. Taking quietude and time to rest is just as important as taking care of those we love.

I will remember to stop and smell the roses, to enjoy nature and find my peace, no matter how busy my life gets.

I would rather be ashes than dust!

I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze
than it should be stifled by dry rot. I would rather be a
superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow,
than a sleepy and permanent planet.

The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time."
