Class of January 2020 PART 2
To be honest, my secret is that I have a LOT of things I love to do....I had lists for years.....all of my life really....and now I am getting to do them. One by one by one by one by one.
I have honestly never been as thrilled by life as I am now. I wanted to be....but like all of us I had so many issues and so much pain and then so much damage....but now.....after all of that....the day is wonderful for me every day if there is sun or rain or snow.
(Not keen on pain or illness, but no one is....at least we can get through that stuff now with less drama and more sense. It makes it easier I feel).
Oh gosh....this was a soppy diatribe. Oops. xx
Good morning everyone
I just wrote a huge post and lost it
Suze I was asleep but I hid it in the cupboard (no safe).
Thanks everyone for your encouragement and support!
I’m so glad to wake up sober today! It was a close encounter with the AV last night.
Thanks to all of you on SR I didn’t cave in! Phew that was close, building sober muscles but that was a little too close....
I’m off to the forest today, will post pics later
Day 26 for me.
Happy Australia Day!

If you change the but to just....it makes the qute more meaningful for me.
'You can look back, just don't stare......'
We all have a lot of painful memories....I have a few I can't erase and they are killers.....so if I feel myself glancing, I catch myself.....don't stare Suze....stop it.....
Which leads me to my favourite saying ever given to me by a lovely NA friend.
'Keep Your Head Where Your Hands Are'.
So if you get caught up in past awfulness, just keep going with your day and your head will come with you....it really works for me. s

Soooooo... I can hear my neighbors in their hot tub right now. It sounds like there’s a party going on over there, and everyone is pretty much on their way to being drunk (if not already). I just want to say I’m really glad I’m not going to wake up with a hangover tomorrow, but I’m also wondering why they didn’t invite me. They don’t know that I’m sober now. There could be a million reasons, but the self-centered alcoholic in me is thinking it’s because I get blackout drunk and make an a$$ of myself (or used to). I guess I’m glad, but sad at the same time... but mostly glad.
Thanks Bandi happy to share lots of future sober birthdays with you : hug:
Daisybelle7 don’t feel bad, just feel relieved and grateful that you’re not part of the drunken shenanigans and you’re going to be even more grateful to wake up sober tomorrow

Willow68, “drunken shenanigans” is exactly what it sounds like over there. It’s gotten louder. I’m glad to be snuggling in bed with my puppy. You’re right, waking up sober will definitely be on my gratitude list tomorrow.
I hope they cal it quits soon Daisy
