Class of January 2019 Part 2
Just back from the gym. 30 sets of heavy weights on upper body.
I was sitting down with my protein drink and thinking “this is hard work going to the gym for one to three hours per day” but then I reminded myself I used to drink seven hours a night (every night) so I checked myself and gave my face a slap.

Haha Tony, that's funny. Drinking IS hard on the body though isn't it? Ugh.
Checking in on day 12, feeling pretty good. I've decided I'm going to spend today at the office updating my files and paperwork which has been bugging me, I'm very behind and have finally realized I have to MAKE time to update them because that magical day "when I have time" is never going to come!
I was also thinking about things I'm proud of myself for. These are the three best things I think I've accomplished in 2019:
1. Sober for 12 days, obviously. Actually I have only had one night in 2019 that I had more than two drinks (though that one night was more than enough damage... UGH.)
2. I've written a page in my journal every day
3. I've actually stuck to a budget which is huge for me... my New Year's resolution was to be more financially responsible. I didn't account for quitting alcohol when I wrote it of course, so I'm actually way ahead of where I expected to be, I've saved more than $50 already just on not going out and buying drinks.
What are you proud of today?

Tony your such an inspiration . I managed a 7 minute YouTube workout today . Eat crap all day and feel like utter crap. I wish I was feeling as uplifted as you are . But I'm just miserable .
It's raining and I'm debating if I should take my son to football practice or just put pjs on and eat more crap.

Proud I dragged my butt outta bed and went to the gym in the morning. I've been going on a night but it was good to get it out of the way.
I'm also proud I've signed up to do a 10k run to raise money for Cancer Research so I need to start training for that.
Oh and I booked my first appointment to give blood yesterday
Finally I'm the most proud I made it through day 23 without drinking.. positive steps all round.
