[QUOTE=Briansy;6990572]Congrats, David! How do you feel after 9 months of sobriety? Any temptation to drink? Did you have a recovery programme while inside?[/QUO
TE]
I feel good. The first month in prison was hard going but after that I was OK. I was in an AA programme so I think that helped. I dont think I would have done it only for prison.
I have been a bit temptrd because I know I can but I sont want to which is good. I have stated smoking again bit thats no big deal. Part of getting earlt release was that I cannot enter a bar oe I am in breach of my early release agreement so I could go back inside if I did.

I have a Probation Officer who I have to see every week and the police can come at any time to make sure I am obeying my curfew. I also linked in with a charuty that helps ex soldiers whove been in prison get work and accomodation after being released

That's great. How do you feel about that? What kind of age is he?
Hopefully there will be enough meetings that are within curfew for it not to be a problem. Oncebyouve got to a few and got some numbers maybe you could meet up with others in recovery outside of meetings if needs be.

Hi David.
Just reading back through the thread.
I'm sorry what happened to you, alcohol is an absolute git for what it can do to people.
You've done your time though, fresh start, new slate. Wish you all the best mate.
