I wasn't that brave today at all, but I really love this topic. I've tried to teach. my kids that when they are faced with a decision, they should not base it on their FEAR. Get that out of the equation and then make your decision. Not sure if I've taken my own advice, though.

Today I am being brave by ALLOWING my Higher Power to guide me step by step. I am being brave by RELEASING fears, expectations, habitual thoughts, habitual actions.

It has been helpful to me reminding myself who is actually in the arena. The alcoholic isn't in the arena or even the parking lot because they cannot handle daily life. Since my AH isn't even in the parking lot why would I give any time or thought in to AH opinions on life choices, raising kids, future plans etc.
Anytime I get an unsolicited comments I remind myself he's not in the arena and it helps.
