I quit drinking a little over two years ago with the help of AVRT and yesterday I had the opportunity to share the 'secret' to my success with a very dear friend who's in the early days of quitting. Most people have never heard that there are alternatives to traditional treatment options and it was awesome being able to introduce a choice!

It was really cool to share my experience with Rational Recovery and AVRT and relive those early days with someone who's just beginning their journey of finding life again! It's good to remember the early days! It's good to remember the thrill of finding out you have the power within yourself to quit drinking forever! (Not that I'd ever forget stumbling upon SR and then finding that little 'sticky' post by our very own freshstart about AVRT that resonated so deeply with me!! )

I don't visit SR very often anymore, but I'll always be grateful for the incredible people here who showed me a better way! Xo
