Popping in

Hey Hey, friends!

Just popping in to say hi :)

February marked 9 years since I changed my life and became a nondrinker. As for us all, life has had it's ups and downs, but I am so happy that I am free to face it all without the additional weight of addiction. Even the hardest of times are accompanied by the quiet satisfaction of being able to navigate the hard waters without fear of being pulled under.

Those of you just starting your journey, I want you to know...this can be done. You can do this.

Keep moving forward fearlessly, my fellow travelers.

I was just thinking about you the other day re-reading some old threads. You've been such an encouragement to so many of us here through the years and it's so good get an update! And yep, it's no joke....living alcohol/drug free is totally possible. And it's not just possible, it's ours for the taking! :)

Hey soberlicious, glad to see you're still around and kicking. Been away from here for awhile, back on the boards here for the time being, to share my experience, strength and hope.

Nine years of sobriety is awesome! Congratulations! Just losing that ever-present sense of doom and anxiety greatly improves the quality of life. And that's not mentioning how it opens up possibilities and potential.

This was really neat to see your checking-in at 9 years.....so awesome! Very inspiring to see check-ins from earlier folk to keep it real that sobriety is possible and is happening!
