Pavel Somov and Choice Awareness Training
 

An SR search for "Somov" didn't turn up any results, so I thought I would mention this writer and his approach to recovery (Pavel G. Somov, PhD).

This is a good entry point on his site:

He has a book on "Choice Awareness Training" which is primarily intended for clinicians.

His approach involves mindfulness and exercising the power of choice to overcome and replace automatic harmful habits.

Among his other books, he has a more general one on a Buddhist approach to suffering, "The Lotus Effect."

Now this is one I haven't heard about yet :) Will definitely look this up, thanks for the info!

I really like that it combines logotherapy and mindfulness. Putting it on my book to-buy list now.

I like the simple approach of this, hmm definitely going to read more
