I totally relate to what he says about using (in his case drugs, mine drink)
as more of an anesthetic

about the sense of emptiness and feeling disconnected
and that drinking makes all that go away
there was a relief that happened

I believe that is the reason I drink

yoga is religious in it's true form. not secular. I did yoga the first time I got sober. It is an amazing practice. I also was heavy into meditation. I had what yogis call a "kundalini awakening" It was amazing
