Hello? (Echo...echo...echo [fades out])

Are there no god-fearless people here? Where are the agnostics, atheists, and those wanting a deviation from the religiously orientated? And there are no intentions of degrading those who find comfort and reprieve in theism, that would be a selfish and incompassionate position for me to take. But I should like to hear more active conversations and threads here. It just seems our ecclesiastical members have so much more to say in the other sections. Maybe I've been gone too long and I'm not navigating properly.

Just passing thoughts around.

Hi Dee, great to hear a familiar voice! I guess you might say I'm quietly floating. After about 9 months of sinking, I washed ashore and decided I prefer the dry land.

Hi Creekryder. I'm a theist, but that belief of mine has absolutely nothing to do with my sobriety. It's that whole internal locus of control thingy, I guess.

I guess one of the reasons that conversations here are quieter is that we tend to view sobriety as more of an event than a life long vocation. "I need to quit drinking, how do I do that? Really? OK, got it, I'm good. Thanks, take care now, bye." There is none of the new spiritual way of living lifetime stuff.

So, what do you want to talk about?
