Please walk me through this
Please walk me through this
I stopped by the local convenience store to pick up some smokes (this is the store I always bought my beer from). The owner said, "no beer?". I replied "no". She started questioning why? I just stood there looking at her and/or fumbling with stuff in my pocked book as the line behind me got longer and longer. She finally handed me my change and I left. Oh, I forgot to add, she asked me why I hadn't been there lately also.
I understand her wondering why I didn't go in and buy my daily allotment of poison but I don't understand the interrogation, ESPECIALLY when she told me one of her employees just died from complications due to alcohol.
My AV never kicked in although I ended up really tired and went to bed very early.
Today, I'm a bit out of sorts and my AV is rather chatty.
Can y'all walk me through this?

Some people are both insensitive and stupid.
There's a thread somewhere on telling people you no longer drink.
Edit: Here you go

Thanks, Vlad. It's not so much telling people I don't drink. It's the weird way I'm feeling today.
Earlier this morning, I was typing something in the New Comers to Recovery Forum I suddenly recognized IT chatting about having a drink.
Scared the crap out of me.
So, I came over here to get some good 'ol fashion mind whoop down. lol.
ETA: Thanks for the link. I'll definitely take a good look at it.

No problemo.
AV is a normal experience, and in itself not to be thought of as a problem to be corrected or resolved. Recognizing your AV is in fact the thing you want, and since you're being successful at that, what is it you're actually wanting to be walked thru?
I'm not benching or side-stepping your experiences, I'm just not clear on what you're really wanting to resolve?
