I will not drink today or tonight because I have finally figured out that there is no "just one".

I like waking up and not feeling like I have to cope with the residuals of what I have done the night before and hide my hungover-ass self from the world.

I like participating in life.

I will not drink today because I know I can't control it,it controls me. I have to many people counting on me to let something so destructive have so much power and influence over my thoughts and actions. I need to stop being so selfish and come to terms with the fact that being drunk is NOT my purpose in life!

I will not drink/drug today because...

...when I do, I can not predict with any accuracy if I'll be wearing clothes when I go outside the house.

...picking up that first drink/drug is a stupid choice I can no longer rationalize away.

I will not drink/drug today because I will not allow it to cross my mind. I lifted the obsession. I too am indifferent and protected.

Its a great reality to make, so 'just do it'.
