...because I had to make a hard choice in active addiction. Stay sick or make the commitment to be well. I glad I could choose wellness. No it was not easy but today it is very rewarding to do, if I believed the wrong people that would convince my power was nonexistent, I would be most likely still sick.

I can and will take myself out from active addiction and into, many times challenging, yet a future of my best ability...free and sober/clean.

because I'm going to be out in the hot sun again and I know alcohol is going to make me feel like s*** afterward... not to mention I've decided I want to be sober for the long haul

... because I walked 3 miles tonight and felt infinitely better than I would have if I'd had 3 drinks. Or worse, 3 lines.
